About the role

As an Engagement Portfolio Lead, you will make an impact by driving delivery excellence, client engagement, and portfolio performance across strategic accounts. You will be a valued member of the delivery leadership team and work collaboratively with Engagement Delivery Partners, service line teams, and client stakeholders to ensure successful program execution, operational efficiency, and business growth.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with clients to understand their roadmap, priorities, and staffing needs, positioning Cognizant as a strategic partner.
  • Lead delivery governance across the portfolio, including risk management, issue resolution, and performance tracking.
  • Own delivery excellence by driving requirements validation, solution optimization, and execution oversight.
  • Manage account‑level financials, including margin improvement initiatives and forecast accuracy.
  • Collaborate with service lines to align delivery execution, resource planning, and innovation goals.
  • Support business development through RFP participation, proposal creation, and identification of growth opportunities.
  • Drive AI‑led initiatives and innovation within the account to enhance delivery and client outcomes.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, ensure commitments are met, and communicate progress to both client and internal leadership.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2–3 days onsite in a client or Cognizant office. What you need to have to be considered

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience in program delivery, portfolio management, or large‑scale engagement leadership.
  • Strong experience managing client relationships and executive stakeholder communication.
  • Experience overseeing financial performance, margin improvement, and forecasting.
  • Deep understanding of delivery governance, risk management, and service delivery models.
  • Experience working across cross‑functional teams and aligning multi‑service line delivery.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

These will help you stand out

  • Experience in consulting or IT services delivery environments.
  • Exposure to AI‑driven transformation or innovation initiatives.
  • Strong industry/domain knowledge relevant to the client portfolio.
  • Experience contributing to RFPs, proposals, and account growth strategies.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across complex organizations.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $150,000 - $170,000 CAD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
