Job Title: Software Engineer

Job Summary:

This hybrid role for a software engineer requires 3-7 years of hands-on experience in modern C++ development for large scale enterprise systems. The role focuses on designing coding and optimizing secure and reliable applications for a global cards and payments platform while collaborating closely with cross functional teams to deliver high quality software that supports critical business services in a sustainable and efficient way.

Responsibilities:

· Design robust and maintainable C++ components that support scalable transaction processing for enterprise grade applications in a hybrid work model

· Develop efficient and secure code in C++ that improves system throughput and reduces response time for business-critical services

· Implement unit tests and integration tests in C++ that increase code coverage and improve long term reliability of the platform

· Perform detailed code reviews that promote consistent coding practices and early detection of defects within the development team

· Analyze production incidents that involve C++ services and drive sustainable fixes that reduce recurrence and improve customer experience

· Collaborate with product owners and analysts to refine technical requirements into clear and implementable C++ solutions for cards and payments use cases

· Optimize data structures and algorithms in existing C++ modules that handle payment transactions to reduce latency and resource consumption

· Document system design decisions and technical workflows in a clear and structured way that supports future maintenance and onboarding of new team members

· Coordinate with quality assurance partners to validate C++ features and ensure alignment with functional and non-functional acceptance criteria

· Participate in sprint planning and estimation activities that enable realistic delivery timelines for C++ features within a day shift schedule

· Support secure coding practices in C++ that protect sensitive payment data in alignment with industry security expectations while working in a no travel model

· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that refine build pipelines automated testing and deployment processes for C++ services

· Engage with operations teams to plan safe deployments of C++ releases that minimize downtime and protect the stability of the payments platform

Qualifications:

· Apply professional experience of three to seven years in C++ development to design and deliver stable and reusable software components for enterprise systems

· Use strong understanding of object-oriented design patterns in C++ to craft modular solutions that simplify maintenance and feature extension

· Employ practical knowledge of data structures algorithms and memory management in C++ to build high performance payment processing services

· Leverage familiarity with cards and payments concepts such as authorization clearing and settlement to design domain aware features when applicable

· Utilize experience with version control tools and collaborative workflows to manage C++ code changes in a shared repository environment

· Apply working knowledge of software development lifecycle practices including agile methods code reviews and continuous integration to support predictable delivery

· Demonstrate strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in C++ and related tools to quickly isolate issues and restore normal service operations

· Use solid communication and documentation skills to explain technical decisions and collaborate effectively with distributed stakeholders in a hybrid setup
