Job Summary
Serve as a functional lead for complex SAP utilities solutions combining deep expertise in waste management customer care services service contracts work management energy data management device management billing and generative AI. Enable hybrid delivery for global utilities and oil and gas clients ensuring stable day shift operations and impactful business transformation.
Responsibilities
- Lead end to end functional design across SAP waste management customer care services service contracts work management energy data management device management and billing to deliver integrated utilities processes that run reliably and efficiently for clients in a hybrid work environment.
- Drive requirement discovery sessions with business stakeholders to translate complex utilities and oil and gas needs into detailed SAP functional specifications that are feasible scalable and aligned with industry regulations and sustainability goals.
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure that configured SAP solutions and enhancements follow best practices meet performance expectations and support secure handling of high volume customer and metering data.
- Guide the configuration of SAP customer care services and billing to optimize customer journeys reduce billing errors improve call center efficiency and support new digital self service capabilities.
- Oversee the functional setup of SAP work management and device management to streamline field operations improve asset visibility reduce service disruptions and support safe and compliant maintenance activities.
- Shape the functional design of SAP energy data management to support advanced metering time of use rates load profiling and analytics that help clients manage energy demand and integrate renewable generation.
- Apply generative AI capabilities in collaboration with data and AI teams to automate documentation accelerate impact analysis improve knowledge search and enhance user assistance for SAP utilities users.
- Validate end to end business process flows through system integration testing and user acceptance testing ensuring that defect triage and resolution are handled promptly and with clear root cause documentation.
- Prepare detailed functional documentation covering configuration decisions process flows test scenarios and user guides so that support teams and client stakeholders can operate the solution confidently over the long term.
- Collaborate with project managers to estimate functional effort manage risks track progress and support on time delivery within agreed scope and quality for global utilities and oil and gas clients.
- Mentor junior functional consultants by reviewing deliverables sharing industry insights and encouraging structured problem solving that improves the overall capability of the project team.
- Engage with client business process owners on a regular cadence to gather feedback propose continuous improvements and demonstrate how SAP innovations and generative AI can deliver measurable business value.
- Ensure that all delivered processes comply with relevant data privacy cyber security and audit requirements while supporting the company purpose of enabling safe reliable and sustainable energy and resource management for society.
Qualifications
- Possess eight to twelve years of progressive functional experience in SAP utilities or related industries with substantial exposure to cross functional processes in large or multinational organizations.
- Demonstrate strong hands on configuration experience in SAP waste management customer care services service contracts work management energy data management device management and billing modules for complex business scenarios.
- Exhibit practical understanding of utilities and oil and gas domain processes such as metering service connections field operations contract management billing cycles and revenue assurance in a regulated environment.
- Show proven ability to collaborate with technical teams on integration enhancements and data migration topics while articulating functional requirements clearly and comprehensively.
- Display familiarity with generative AI concepts and their application in enterprise environments such as document generation impact analysis assistance knowledge retrieval and conversational support for end users.
- Demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to facilitate workshops explain complex topics in simple terms and build trust with diverse business and technology partners.
- Show readiness to work in a hybrid model during day shifts while collaborating effectively with distributed teams across locations and time zones using modern collaboration tools and structured ways of working.
Certifications Required
Preferred certifications include SAP Certified Associate Utilities SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management and a recognized generative AI or AI practitioner certification.
