About the role
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer – Selenium, Java & Qualitia you will make an impact by driving high-quality, scalable, and reliable digital solutions through advanced automation and performance testing. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering team and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders, including engineering, product, and business teams, to ensure best-in-class testing practices across enterprise applications.
In this role, you will:
Lead the design and implementation of robust test automation strategies across UI, API, and enterprise systems
Architect and enhance automation frameworks to ensure optimal coverage, scalability, and efficiency
Drive end-to-end quality assurance across cloud, web, APIs/services, and databases
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leadership stakeholders to align quality strategies with business goals
Execute and optimize performance and load testing for both UI and API layers while ensuring system reliability

What you need to have to be considered:
5+ years of experience in quality assurance and test automation in enterprise environments
Mandatory: Hands-on experience with QUALITIA test automation tool
Strong expertise in automation frameworks and tools, including Selenium, Java, TestNG, SoapUI, or similar
Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level test automation frameworks
Hands-on experience with API testing, BDD frameworks, and codeless/scriptless automation approaches
Experience in performance and load testing for UI and APIs (e.g., JMeter)
Solid understanding of Agile and DevOps practices, including CI/CD integration
Experience with version control and DevOps tools (GitHub, VSTS/Azure DevOps)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
These will help you stand out:
Experience in the mortgage or financial services domain
Exposure to tools such as Loan Runner or similar lending platforms
Experience working with executive-level stakeholders and influencing quality strategy
Ability to mentor team members and drive QA best practices and innovation
Strong experience in business workflow validation and real-world scenario testing

Salary and Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $53,477 to $92,500, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
