Job Summary

This hybrid role for a senior consultant in transportation and logistics focuses on delivering strategic advisory and implementation support for complex supply chain operations. The role involves optimizing transport networks enhancing logistics processes and enabling digital transformation to improve efficiency resilience and customer value for global clients in a day shift environment.


Responsibilities

  • Drive the assessment of transportation and logistics operations to identify gaps in network performance cost efficiency and service reliability that directly influence client business outcomes
  • Design detailed transportation strategies that optimize route planning carrier selection and load consolidation to reduce operational cost and improve on time delivery performance
  • Coordinate end to end logistics process reviews that cover order management warehouse flows and last mile execution to streamline handoffs and reduce cycle times
  • Develop data driven recommendations using shipment data capacity trends and service level metrics to support clients in making informed decisions on fleet utilization and distribution models
  • Guide clients through the adoption of transportation management systems and related digital tools to improve visibility planning accuracy and exception handling capabilities
  • Prepare clear consulting deliverables such as current state assessments future state blueprints and implementation roadmaps that are tailored to transportation and logistics priorities
  • Collaborate with cross functional client teams from operations finance and procurement to ensure that proposed logistics solutions are feasible sustainable and aligned with business objectives
  • Manage day to day project activities including work planning progress tracking and risk identification to ensure consulting engagements are delivered on time and within agreed scope
  • Conduct workshops and working sessions with stakeholders to gather requirements validate findings and build alignment on recommended transportation and logistics improvements
  • Support the configuration and testing of transportation solutions by translating business requirements into practical scenarios that reflect real life transport and logistics operations
  • Mentor junior team members on logistics concepts analytical approaches and consulting methods to build a strong delivery team focused on transportation and logistics excellence
  • Document standard operating procedures and best practices for logistics processes so clients can sustain improvements and maintain consistent service quality in their networks
  • Measure post implementation results by tracking key indicators such as on time delivery transport cost per unit and warehouse throughput to demonstrate tangible value from consulting work
  • Coordinate with internal teams to refine service offerings in transportation and logistics so the organization can continuously improve its market relevance and client impact


Qualifications

  • Require ten to twelve years of hands on experience in transportation and logistics operations or consulting with a strong track record of delivering measurable improvements in cost and service
  • Require proven exposure to transportation management systems or logistics planning tools with the ability to translate operational needs into effective technology enabled solutions
  • Require strong analytical skills with experience using data analysis and reporting tools to evaluate shipment patterns capacity constraints and performance trends in logistics networks
  • Require familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements related to transportation and logistics to ensure recommended solutions align with applicable standards
  • Require excellent communication and facilitation skills to interact with diverse stakeholders and present complex logistics topics in a clear and structured manner
  • Nice to have experience working in hybrid work environments where coordination across on site and remote teams supports efficient delivery of logistics consulting engagements
  • Nice to have exposure to adjacent domains such as warehousing inventory management or supply chain planning that complement core transportation and logistics expertise
  • Nice to have involvement in process improvement initiatives that apply continuous improvement methods to logistics processes with a focus on sustainable and repeatable results
  • Nice to have prior consulting background with multinational organizations or large enterprises where transportation and logistics projects span multiple regions or business units
