Job Summary
The Lead System Architect will design and optimize scalable Pega applications that support complex case management needs for global clients in a hybrid work environment. The role focuses on crafting robust architectures guiding teams on Pega best practices and ensuring secure high performing solutions that align with online and high tech domains while improving customer and business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design robust Pega architectures that support complex case management solutions and align with enterprise standards while ensuring high maintainability and scalability
- Provide end to end technical guidance for Pega application development by defining guardrails patterns and reusable components that enable consistent delivery quality
- Drive solution assessments by analyzing business processes and translating them into efficient Pega case types stages data models and integration strategies that meet stakeholder expectations
- Coordinate with business and technology partners to refine requirements into technical designs that reduce rework improve clarity and support future enhancements
- Optimize application performance by tuning rules data access strategies and work queues to achieve responsive user experiences and stable system behavior in production
- Ensure high standards of code quality through design reviews configuration validations and proactive identification of technical risks across Pega projects
- Guide teams on implementing Pega security configurations access control policies and authentication models that protect sensitive data and support regulatory compliance
- Plan and oversee migration and upgrade strategies for Pega applications by assessing impact dependencies and required remediation to minimize downtime and disruption
- Develop integration patterns using Pega connectors and services to connect with enterprise systems ensuring reliable data exchange and simplified maintenance for operations teams
- Establish monitoring and operational readiness practices by defining logging standards incident handling scenarios and non functional validation approaches for Pega applications
- Collaborate with user experience and business teams to refine case flows user journeys and screen designs that enhance usability and promote adoption across business functions
- Document solution architectures design decisions and configuration standards in a clear and structured manner to support knowledge sharing and long term sustainability
- Align day to day delivery activities to the company purpose by designing digital solutions that streamline services reduce manual effort and bring faster outcomes for customers and communities
Qualifications
- Combine advanced experience as a Pega lead architect with strong case management expertise to define architectures that address complex workflow and decision needs in enterprise environments
- Apply deep Pega application development knowledge to configure rules flows activities data transforms and decision logic that adhere to platform guardrails and best practices
- Leverage exposure to online domain processes to design customer centric case experiences that support digital channels self service and seamless handoffs across teams
- Utilize understanding of high tech industry practices to shape scalable modular solutions that can evolve quickly with emerging technologies and market demands
- Demonstrate proficiency in hybrid working models by collaborating effectively through digital tools conducting remote workshops and maintaining clear communication with distributed teams
- Employ strong English reading writing and speaking abilities to interact with clients create precise design documentation and support global stakeholders across time zones
- Show capability to mentor and support development teams in adopting Pega patterns reusable assets and quality practices without taking on formal people leadership responsibilities
- Exhibit structured problem solving skills by analyzing production issues root causes and technical debt items and by proposing pragmatic remediation options aligned to project timelines
Certifications Required
Pega Certified Lead System Architect or equivalent advanced Pega certification
