Job Summary
Technology Architect specializing in SAP Business Objects is responsible for designing optimizing and governing enterprise reporting and analytics solutions that support critical business decisions in a hybrid work model using strong expertise in SAP BOBJ reporting administration performance engineering and integration with SAP Analytics Cloud while collaborating across teams to deliver secure scalable and reliable finance focused insights.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable SAP Business Objects architectures that support enterprise wide reporting analytics and self service consumption in alignment with organizational standards and strategy.
- Develop optimized reporting solutions using SAP BOBJ report publications that ensure timely and accurate delivery of information to diverse business stakeholders across multiple regions.
- Configure and manage SAP BOBJ report scheduling workflows that ensure consistent delivery of standard and ad hoc reports while minimizing system load and operational risk.
- Execute SAP BO performance engineering activities that include capacity planning query optimization and tuning of universes to deliver fast and reliable report execution.
- Administer SAP BOBJ platforms by managing users security folders content and promotions to maintain a stable compliant and well governed reporting environment.
- Design and maintain SAP BOBJ universes that provide semantic layers aligned to business terminology enabling intuitive consistent and reusable reporting structures across domains.
- Develop and enhance Crystal Reports that support complex layout formatting and regulatory reporting needs while ensuring consistency with enterprise data definitions.
- Implement SAP BOBJ and SAP Analytics Cloud integration patterns that enable seamless data flow consistent metrics and unified analytics experiences for business teams.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting stakeholders to translate financial processes and controls into reporting models that improve transparency compliance and decision making.
- Coordinate with infrastructure and database teams to plan upgrades patches and capacity expansion ensuring high availability and resilience of the SAP BOBJ landscape.
- Define and enforce best practices templates and standards for report design scheduling publications and security to ensure sustainable growth of the analytics ecosystem.
- Document solution architectures operational procedures and design decisions to support maintainability knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members in a hybrid work setup.
- Partner with cross functional teams to troubleshoot critical incidents perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures that protect data integrity and system performance.
Qualifications
- Combine extensive hands on experience in SAP BOBJ administration universe design report publications report scheduling and performance tuning to deliver robust analytics platforms.
- Apply strong proficiency in SAP BOBJ Crystal reporting to design detailed operational and regulatory reports that meet complex formatting and validation requirements.
- Utilize experience in SAP BOBJ and SAP Analytics Cloud integration to enable modern analytics capabilities while preserving existing investments in enterprise reporting solutions.
- Leverage understanding of finance and accounting processes to design reporting structures key performance indicators and controls that support financial close and compliance activities.
- Demonstrate proven experience managing medium to large scale SAP BOBJ implementations with a minimum of nine years and a maximum of thirteen years in relevant technology roles.
- Communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements explain design options and provide guidance on best use of reporting and analytics tools.
- Adapt to a hybrid work environment by coordinating tasks reviews and handoffs through remote collaboration tools while maintaining consistent delivery quality and timelines.
Certifications Required
SAP Certified Application Associate BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform or equivalent certification in SAP BusinessObjects or SAP Analytics will be an advantage
