Summary:
The QM Auditor is responsible for reviewing closed loans delivered for purchase to the client specific Correspondent Lending Division. The review consists of determining loan eligibility and compliance to Qualified Mortgage (QM) and Ability to Repay (ATR) guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Use Company systems (including LOS and OnBase) to review loans for compliance to QM and ATR guidelines and perform loan level data entry into Company systems on each loan reviewed to determine purchase eligibility while meeting production and quality standards.
- Use Company systems to review and clear loan level suspense conditions
- Communicate with Lenders to answers questions, explain guidelines, and resolve loan level suspensions while demonstrating outstanding customer service levels
- Assist in review of monthly QA qualified mortgage related findings, analyzing trends, and reporting of data to Department Head.
Participate in regular team meetings regarding trends, training, and updates to policies and procedures
Education:
- College degree from a 4-year institution or equivalent experience preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience working in a mortgage banking operation preferred
- At least 1 year experience auditing closed loans at FAMC preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of the Ability to Repay/Qualified Mortgage Rule.
Must be familiar with automated underwriting systems including Fannie Mae’s Desktop Underwriter and Freddie Mac’s Loan Prospector.
