Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Data Lead with deep expertise in Manufacturing Data Systems and Historian platforms (Aveva OSI PI) within the Life Sciences industry.
This role will lead delivery, architecture, and operations of manufacturing data platforms, while acting as a trusted advisor to both internal stakeholders and clients. You will play a critical role in driving data strategy, system enhancements, and operational excellence across Manufacturing and Supply Chain domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Manufacturing Data Systems initiatives, including project planning, execution, and governance
- Own the configuration, enhancement, and lifecycle management of Historian systems (Aveva OSI PI)
- Provide technical leadership and oversight to cross-functional delivery teams
- Act as a strategic advisor to clients on data architecture, data strategy, and technology decisions
- Collaborate with business and IT/OT stakeholders to align solutions with Manufacturing and Supply Chain needs
- Drive service operations and support models for data platforms, ensuring reliability and performance
- Develop solution approaches, effort estimates, and delivery plans for new initiatives
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, innovation, and data-driven insights
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, timelines, and client expectations
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or manufacturing data systems
- Proven expertise with Aveva OSI PI / Historian platforms
- Strong experience in the Life Sciences industry, specifically in Manufacturing and Supply Chain domains
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams, programs, and complex projects
- Strong background in Data Strategy, Solution Design, and Architecture
- Experience working across OT and IT data ecosystems
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and consulting skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additional industrial data platforms and analytics tools
- Familiarity with cloud-based data architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Exposure to digital manufacturing, Industry 4.0, or smart factory initiatives
- Certifications in data, cloud, or project/program management
