Job Summary
The role of SPE Policy Servicing focuses on accurate and timely administration of life and annuities insurance policies using MS Office tools in a structured office based environment. The specialist reviews updates and maintains policy data responds to service requests and supports internal partners to enhance customer experience while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed review and maintenance of life and annuities policy records to ensure accurate and current information in core systems using MS Office tools for validation and tracking purposes.
- Handle end to end policy servicing activities such as endorsements beneficiary changes reinstatements and cancellations while complying with internal procedures and regulatory guidelines for life and annuities products.
- Process incoming customer and intermediary service requests received through prescribed channels by interpreting policy provisions and documenting actions using structured MS Office templates.
- Analyze policy data and transaction history to identify discrepancies or potential issues and coordinate timely corrections that minimize financial and operational risk to the organization.
- Prepare clear and structured policy summaries calculations and reports in MS Excel and Word that support internal reviews audits and decision making for complex life and annuities cases.
- Collaborate with underwriting claims finance and customer service teams to resolve policy servicing queries and ensure consistent and reliable information is shared across stakeholders.
- Respond to internal stakeholder queries within defined turnaround times by researching policy details in administrative systems and summarizing findings in concise MS Office based communications.
- Adhere strictly to data privacy information security and compliance requirements while handling sensitive customer information related to life and annuities contracts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of policy servicing workflows by documenting recurring issues proposing corrective actions and supporting implementation of updated standard operating procedures.
- Monitor daily work queues and volumes in line with service level agreements and escalate emerging bottlenecks or capacity concerns to ensure uninterrupted policy servicing operations.
- Support internal quality control checks by validating processed transactions against checklists maintained in MS Office and documenting identified errors and remediation actions.
- Assist in preparation of periodic operational metrics productivity dashboards and error trend reports in MS Excel that highlight performance insights for management review.
- Participate in knowledge sharing sessions and process refreshers to maintain up to date understanding of life and annuities products policy servicing rules and system enhancements.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate practical experience in life and annuities insurance policy administration with familiarity in policy issue premium handling policy changes and contract servicing activities.
- Apply strong working knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel Word and Outlook to manage data perform calculations and create structured documentation supporting policy servicing.
- Exhibit ability to interpret policy documents product features and procedural guidelines and translate them into correct servicing actions with high attention to detail.
- Show proven capability to manage multiple policy requests simultaneously while meeting defined turnaround times in a fast paced office based environment without compromising quality.
- Display effective written and verbal communication skills to document case actions clearly and to collaborate constructively with cross functional internal teams.
- Utilize sound analytical and problem solving skills to investigate policy issues reconcile information gaps and recommend practical resolutions aligned with company policies.
- Leverage prior experience in insurance operations or shared services environments to adapt quickly to standardized workflows metrics driven expectations and compliance focused practices.
