Job Summary

Serve as a principal infra developer designing and optimizing enterprise observability platforms using Splunk Observability Cloud ThousandEyes and App Dynamics for a global asset and wealth management organization. Collaborate with cross functional teams in a hybrid work model to improve system reliability client experience and operational efficiency while aligning with regulatory expectations.


Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable observability solutions using Splunk Observability Cloud to provide deep visibility into critical asset and wealth management platforms and supporting infrastructure.
  • Develop and optimize ThousandEyes monitoring setups to proactively detect network path issues and digital experience degradation that may affect client trading and portfolio management journeys.
  • Configure and fine tune App Dynamics instrumentation to trace application performance across complex microservices and integration layers within front office and middle office wealth management systems.
  • Analyze telemetry patterns and incident trends to identify systemic issues and drive long term improvements in reliability availability and latency across business critical platforms.
  • Collaborate with application development network security and operations teams to define meaningful service level objectives and error budgets that reflect asset and wealth management client expectations.
  • Create automated dashboards alerts and runbooks that empower support teams to quickly diagnose failures and reduce mean time to detect and mean time to resolve for production incidents.
  • Integrate observability data with incident and change management processes to improve root cause analysis quality and reduce recurring disruptions in daily trading and advisory operations.
  • Provide technical guidance on best practices for log management metric collection and distributed tracing to ensure consistent observability across hybrid cloud and on premises environments.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate investment and advisory use cases into actionable monitoring requirements that directly protect client portfolios and regulatory commitments.
  • Drive continuous improvement of observability tooling by evaluating new features conducting proof of concept activities and recommending enhancements that increase insight and reduce operational risk.
  • Document observability architectures standards and playbooks in clear reusable formats that enable other practitioners to adopt consistent practices across regions and product lines.
  • Enable shift left observability by working with engineering teams to embed monitoring and resilience patterns early in the software development lifecycle for new wealth management capabilities.
  • Coordinate with compliance and risk teams to ensure monitoring designs support auditability data retention expectations and operational resilience requirements specific to regulated financial services.


Qualifications

  • Combine extensive hands on experience in Splunk Observability Cloud with strong analytical skills to interpret complex metrics logs and traces in large scale financial systems.
  • Apply deep ThousandEyes expertise to design internet and network monitoring topologies that reflect the connectivity patterns of global asset and wealth management clients and advisors.
  • Use advanced App Dynamics knowledge to implement end to end transaction monitoring and business performance dashboards that highlight the impact of technical issues on client outcomes.
  • Bring nine to twelve years of progressive infrastructure or site reliability engineering experience with a clear focus on observability automation and performance optimization.
  • Demonstrate practical exposure to asset and wealth management products portfolio reporting trade order flows and client portals to align monitoring strategy with real business processes.
  • Employ strong scripting and automation abilities in areas such as configuration as code and api based integrations to keep observability environments consistent and maintainable.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non technical audiences to explain observability findings risk implications and recommended remediation actions.
