Job Summary
Serve as a functional architect specializing in SAP materials management and special procurements translating complex procure to pay needs into robust SAP MM solutions that streamline hybrid model operations optimize day shift workflows and improve financial accuracy across procurement and accounts payable processes in a global enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Design end to end SAP materials management solutions that address enterprise procure to pay scenarios while aligning with global standards and internal control requirements for a hybrid work model operation.
- Configure SAP materials management special procurements to support subcontracting consignment stock transfer and third party processes that improve supply reliability and reduce operational risk.
- Analyze existing procurement and inventory processes to identify gaps and recommend SAP based improvements that increase automation accuracy and compliance for day shift business users.
- Collaborate with procurement finance and accounting stakeholders to collect detailed requirements and translate them into precise SAP materials management functional specifications and configuration settings.
- Develop and document robust functional designs for materials management integrations with procurement finance and accounts payable components ensuring consistent data flow and traceability.
- Perform system configuration testing and defect resolution for materials management purchasing inventory management and invoice verification scenarios delivering stable and auditable solutions.
- Guide cross functional teams through user acceptance testing by preparing test scenarios test data and expected outcomes for materials management and procure to pay processes.
- Provide expert support during production cutover and post go live stabilization to ensure smooth transition of materials management and special procurement functionalities into steady state operations.
- Create clear user documentation and deliver focused training sessions that help business teams adopt new materials management features and follow standardized procure to pay practices.
- Optimize purchasing and logistics invoice verification processes to reduce manual effort shorten cycle times and improve matching accuracy between purchase orders goods receipts and supplier invoices.
- Work closely with technical consultants to define functional specifications for enhancements reports and interfaces that extend core materials management and accounts payable capabilities.
- Monitor system usage and key performance indicators for materials management and procure to pay processes and recommend continuous improvements that support organizational financial objectives.
- Ensure that all functional solutions comply with internal audit guidelines and external regulatory expectations while supporting transparent and ethical procurement practices that benefit society and business partners.
Qualifications
- Bring eight to eleven years of focused experience in SAP materials management with deep hands on configuration expertise across purchasing inventory management and invoice verification.
- Demonstrate proven experience in SAP materials management special procurements including subcontracting consignment and third party order processing in complex enterprise landscapes.
- Apply solid understanding of procure to pay and accounts payable domain practices to design SAP solutions that reflect real world business constraints and financial policies.
- Use working knowledge of finance and accounting principles to align materials management postings with accurate general ledger entries accruals and reconciliation needs.
- Communicate clearly with global stakeholders in a hybrid work model demonstrating the ability to coordinate requirements workshops and issue resolution during regular day shift hours.
- Exhibit strong problem solving skills in diagnosing materials management process issues and recommending pragmatic configuration or process changes that improve reliability.
- Show familiarity with industry leading practices in procurement and supplier collaboration that help the organization build resilient and socially responsible supply chains.
Certifications Required
SAP Certified Application Associate in SAP ERP Materials Management or SAP S 4HANA Sourcing and Procurement
