Position Summary:
Security Analyst to connect with the client and get Security Testing Requirements. Validate and clarify the requirements with business stakeholders. Understand the high-level functional overview of the Application and navigation work flow. Identify Security Testing Vulnerabilities by performing Automatic scans & Manual Assessments by benchmarking with Security Testing Standards and providing actionable inputs (Vulnerability fix recommendations) to development teams. Work closely with the program managers and the POs in strategizing the releases and the people needed to support that. Proactively identify the resource needs and help plan better.
Mandatory Skills:
1)Experience in Web Application Security Testing, Mobile application Penetration Testing, (SAST & DAST) and API Penetration Testing.
2)Handled multiple projects individually, was involved in end-to-end handling of projects from information gathering, execution, report preparation and closure meeting with project technical team.
3)Identifying the security threats by performing black box penetration testing on web application.
4)Proficient in using proxy tools like Burp suite, OWASP ZAP, Fiddler.
5)Ability to run security scanning tools like Acunetix, HCL Appscan, Nessus. Readapi.
6)Ability in performing secure code reviews using automated tools like Burp suite Professional.
7)Effectively utilizes tools (commercial, open source) into testing process to obtain optimum results.
8)Familiar with all the stages of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) & Software Test Life Cycle (STLC), with good exposure towards testing techniques and methodologies.
9)Knowledge of Test Case Preparation, Test Case Execution, Defect Reporting, Defect Tracking & Defect Analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1)The associate will liaise with internal/external clients to understand and document the Security Testing requirements, organization information security polices &Compliance standards
2) Validate and clarify requirements with Business Stakeholders to define Scope
3)Obtain application walkthrough from Application Team for in-scope applications.
4)Prepare and review the Security Test plan document.
5)Verify in-scope application flow manually [with needed test-data] for better understanding of application.
6)Execute security testing with help of Security testing tools.
7)Perform Manual Assessment for Business Logic Scenarios
8)Analyze test results and verify false positives.
9)Prepare final Security Test report.
10)Assuring adherence to best practices
11)Identify the opportunities to automate testing and come up with plan for the same
12)Identify the opportunities to shift left in dev process and enable better QA through the development cycle
13)Create better synergy between the BA, devs and QA teams
14)Review and present Security Testing engagement summary report with Application Stakeholders
15)Work closely with the program managers and the POs in strategizing the releases and the people needed to support that.
16)Proactively identify the resource needs and help plan better
