Responsibilities
- Design SAP PLM functional architectures that align enterprise product lifecycle processes with system capabilities ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions that support strategic business goals in a hybrid working model.
- Translate complex product development and engineering requirements into detailed SAP PLM functional specifications enabling configuration and development teams to build reliable and high performing solutions.
- Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders from engineering manufacturing quality and supply chain to harmonize PLM processes and standardize data models that improve product traceability and consistency.
- Configure SAP PLM modules for product structures document management and engineering change management to streamline lifecycle stages from concept through retirement while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Define and optimize workflows for change control approvals and release processes in SAP PLM so that product updates move efficiently through review cycles with clear accountability and auditability.
- Guide impact analysis and solution design for SAP PLM enhancements and integrations ensuring that changes support upstream and downstream systems without disrupting core operations.
- Develop functional test strategies test cases and acceptance criteria for SAP PLM features validating that implemented solutions meet business requirements and performance expectations.
- Conduct detailed system and process assessments of existing PLM landscapes identifying gaps risks and improvement opportunities that drive better product quality and faster time to market.
- Provide expert level support for critical SAP PLM incidents and defects analyzing root causes and recommending sustainable corrective actions that improve system stability and user confidence.
- Prepare and deliver training materials user guides and knowledge transfer sessions that help business and technical teams adopt SAP PLM capabilities effectively and consistently.
- Partner with analytics teams to define data structures and reporting needs related to product lifecycle metrics so that decision makers gain clear insight into portfolio health and process efficiency.
- Work closely with program management stakeholders to align SAP PLM solution roadmaps with broader transformation initiatives ensuring that milestones dependencies and risks are understood and managed.
- Advise on SAP PLM governance practices including data ownership change policies and authorization models to protect sensitive information while enabling efficient collaboration.
- Drive continuous improvement of PLM processes by evaluating user feedback industry trends and new SAP features turning insights into prioritized enhancements that deliver business value.
- Coordinate with integration specialists to ensure reliable data exchange between SAP PLM and other enterprise platforms such as ERP manufacturing and quality systems without compromising data integrity.
- Document end to end solution designs configuration decisions and functional dependencies in a clear and structured manner to support maintainability auditing and future enhancements.
Qualifications
- Offer twelve to fourteen years of progressive experience in enterprise applications with significant focus on SAP PLM functional design configuration and end to end solution delivery.
- Demonstrate deep practical knowledge of core SAP PLM capabilities including product structures document management classification and engineering change management in complex organizational environments.
- Apply solid understanding of program management practices to coordinate PLM related initiatives manage stakeholder expectations and support delivery of large transformation programs.
- Leverage familiarity with analytics concepts to help define meaningful lifecycle metrics reporting requirements and data models that support informed strategic and operational decisions.
- Operate effectively in a hybrid work model by using collaboration tools and structured communication practices to keep distributed teams aligned and productive.
- Communicate clearly with business and technical audiences through well structured workshops documentation and presentations that make complex SAP PLM topics accessible and actionable.
- Adapt quickly to new SAP features and industry regulations related to product lifecycle and compliance maintaining skills through continuous learning and relevant professional development.
