Job Summary

Sr Product Test Specialist will design and execute advanced functional and integration testing for Guidewire PolicyCenter ClaimCenter and BillingCenter platforms using Core Java Selenium Cucumber and REST Web Services while working closely with product and engineering teams in a hybrid work model to ensure high quality solutions for global Property and Casualty Insurance customers.


Responsibilities

  • Design comprehensive test strategies for Guidewire PolicyCenter ClaimCenter and BillingCenter implementations that align with business requirements for global Property and Casualty Insurance clients.
  • Develop detailed test scenarios and reusable automated test scripts using Selenium Core Java and Cucumber to validate critical product features across multiple releases.
  • Execute functional regression integration and end to end test cycles on Guidewire modules to ensure stable product behavior across policy billing and claims processes.
  • Validate REST Web Services by creating structured test cases analyzing request and response payloads and confirming alignment with interface specifications.
  • Collaborate with product owners business analysts and developers to clarify requirements identify edge cases and refine acceptance criteria for complex insurance workflows.
  • Review and analyze functional design documents rating rules underwriting rules and claims processes to derive robust test coverage for Property and Casualty Insurance solutions.
  • Perform defect logging impact analysis and retesting using standard defect tracking tools ensuring accurate root cause information and timely closure of issues.
  • Optimize and maintain automated regression test suites for Guidewire applications to reduce manual effort and increase coverage for frequent production releases.
  • Conduct data validation for policy billing and claims transactions including premium calculations payment schedules and claim reserves to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Coordinate hybrid work activities by planning on site and remote collaboration sessions that support effective communication with distributed teams and stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed test reports dashboards and quality metrics that communicate product readiness and highlight key risks to project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational quality standards regulatory requirements and best practices specific to Property and Casualty Insurance systems.
  • Mentor junior testers by sharing best practices in test design automation frameworks and Guidewire domain concepts to build overall team capability.
  • Participate in performance and non functional testing support activities by identifying critical scenarios and coordinating with specialized testing teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating gaps in existing test processes recommending enhancements and implementing agreed changes.


Qualifications

  • Possess professional experience between six and ten years in software testing with a strong focus on enterprise scale insurance platforms and digital products.
  • Demonstrate hands on expertise in testing Guidewire PolicyCenter including policy lifecycle rating underwriting issuance and renewal functions for Property and Casualty Insurance.
  • Demonstrate hands on expertise in testing Guidewire ClaimCenter including claim intake coverage verification reserves payments recoveries and subrogation flows.
  • Demonstrate hands on expertise in testing Guidewire BillingCenter including billing plans payment schedules dunning processes and financial transactions for complex products.
  • Apply strong proficiency in Core Java Selenium and Cucumber to design maintain and execute automated regression and smoke test suites for web based applications.
  • Apply solid understanding of REST Web Services concepts including authentication status codes and payload validation to verify integrations between Guidewire and external systems.
  • Exhibit deep knowledge of Property and Casualty Insurance domain including policy structures endorsements claims processes and regulatory considerations across markets.
  • Utilize familiarity with hybrid work environments to collaborate effectively across remote and on site teams while maintaining productivity and communication discipline.
  • Display strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to isolate defects reproduce issues and communicate findings clearly to cross functional partners.
  • Utilize excellent communication and documentation skills to create clear test artifacts such as test plans test cases and execution reports for audit ready projects.


Certifications Required

Guidewire Certified Specialist in PolicyCenter BillingCenter or ClaimCenter Automation testing certification or equivalent industry recognized QA certification
