Job Title – Guidewire Cloud Solution Architect

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Cloud Solution Architect with strong expertise in PolicyCenter and/or Claimcenter and Cloud Integrations to lead end-to-end architecture and delivery on the Guidewire Cloud Platform. This role requires deep technical leadership across product configuration, rating, digital experience, and API-driven cloud integrations, while serving as a trusted advisor to business and executive stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
Consultative Engagement
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, translating business objectives into scalable, secure, and cloud-native technical solutions.
• Lead architecture workshops, integration design sessions, and solution walkthroughs with senior stakeholders.
• Influence enterprise technology strategy and Guidewire Cloud adoption roadmaps.
• Collaborate with business teams to define future-state architectures aligned with digital and cloud transformation initiatives.
Solution Architecture & Design
• On-prem to GW cloud migration
• Lead technical architecture and design for Guidewire Cloud implementations, ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and compliance with Guidewire Cloud standards.
• Drive adoption of Advanced Product Designer (APD) for product configuration.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of PolicyCenter, Claim and Billing, including:
· Inland Marine product
· Rating Engine configuration
· Workflow design and optimization
· Underwriting and product model architecture
Cloud Integration & API Architecture
• Architect and lead cloud-native integration strategies using API-first and event-driven patterns.
• Design and implementation:
· RESTful APIs
· Asynchronous integrations
· Messaging and event-based integrations
· Integration Gateway configurations
• Lead integration with external systems such as billing, claims, third-party data providers, document management, and rating services.
• Ensure adherence to Guidewire Cloud integration best practices, including:
· Outbound/Inbound API patterns
· Security models (OAuth2, authentication, authorization)
• Establish integration governance, standards, and reusable frameworks.
Collaboration & Enablement
• Partner with functional and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable cloud solutions.
• Mentor developers and integration engineers on advanced Guidewire Cloud and API capabilities.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement across the Guidewire Cloud ecosystem.

What you need to have to be considered
Experience
• 10+ years of experience in Guidewire implementations.
• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform / Cloud migration.
• Deep expertise in:
o PolicyCenter/Claim Center/
o Rating Engine
• Strong experience designing and implementing cloud integrations in Guidewire Cloud environments.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale integration architecture initiatives.
Technical Skills
• Strong hands-on experience with:
o Advanced Product Designer (APD)
o Integrations
o PolicyCenter configuration
o Integration Gateway
• Proficiency in:
o GOSU and Java
o REST APIs and API frameworks
o Event-driven architecture
o Cloud deployment models and CI/CD pipelines
o Security protocols (OAuth2, JWT, API security best practices)
Certifications
• Guidewire Cloud Integration ACE Certification (required)
• Guidewire ACE Configuration Certification (Preferred)
• Additional Cloud certifications are a plus.

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until July 15, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $88,000 - $145,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
