This is a unique and exciting opportunity to evangelize an application maintenance and modernization center of excellence with one of our major banking clients. You’ll have real accountability for the end-to-end management and modernization of user-developed applications on behalf of customer business units, with a focus on ensuring that SLAs are met, and work is fulfilled on time with no disruption to the business.
Role & Responsibilities
Coach the application modernisation COE on best code practices
Solve complex technical problems while maintaining user developed applications (UDAs/Macros)
Governance end-to-end delivery of automation solutions (document, design, build, test, deploy, maintain) using recommended best practices to modernise UDAs
Experience in database schema design and building/supporting solutions using VBA, SQL, SharePoint and Power Platform
Knowledge in any of the following is desirable: Vba, C#, .NET, JavaScript, JSON, TypeScript, HTML, Microsoft Azure, RESTful web services, ASP.NET
Experience in a large and complex organisation, primarily in the financial services industry
Experience in leading a delivery and/or support function
Experience in incident management and delivering incident calls/communications
Experience in agile ways of working
Tangible experience in liaising with Senior Management
Track record in delivering outcomes on time, on budget & required quality
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Certifications as a Microsoft Office Specialist and/or automation technologies such Blue Prism and Microsoft Power Platform are highly desirable
