Job Title: Senior Splunk ITSI Administrator
Job Location: Remote- Halifax, NS, Canada

We are seeking a Senior Splunk Administrator with strong IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) expertise to design, implement, and optimize Splunk environments supporting enterprise-scale IT operations. This role focuses on driving operational visibility, automation, and proactive issue resolution using advanced analytics within Splunk ITSI.
In this role, you will
Design, implement, and optimize Splunk ITSI solutions, including services, entities, KPIs, and service tree modeling to align with business objectives
Develop and maintain ITSI notable event aggregation policies, service templates, and dashboards for enhanced operational insights
Implement advanced analytics techniques (anomaly detection, predictive analytics) to proactively identify and mitigate service issues
Build and automate Splunk administration workflows using scripting to improve operational efficiency
Monitor and maintain Splunk infrastructure performance, capacity, and health, ensuring high availability
Troubleshoot and resolve Splunk/ITSI issues related to configuration, performance, data ingestion, and integrations
Integrate Splunk with multiple data sources and ensure data is parsed and aligned with CIM (Common Information Model) standards
Recommend and implement improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability of Splunk environments
What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)
Strong experience as a Splunk Administrator with hands-on ITSI expertise
Advanced proficiency in Splunk SPL (Search Processing Language), including complex queries, correlations, and data models
Deep expertise in troubleshooting Splunk infrastructure, including performance and ingestion issues
Experience configuring ITSI components such as services, KPIs, episodes, and glass tables
Hands-on experience with CIM compliance, data onboarding, and data modeling
Knowledge of IT operations, including networking, systems administration, and security
Experience in automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Shell, or similar)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Preferred Skills
Splunk Certifications (e.g., Splunk Certified Admin / ITSI Certified)
Experience with large-scale Splunk deployments (cloud or on-prem)
Exposure to automation frameworks and DevOps practices
Experience working in enterprise monitoring/observability environments
