Job Summary

The Functional Architect will design and optimize o9 based integrated business planning solutions across demand planning supply chain analytics and inventory optimization for high technology research and development environments. The role involves translating complex business challenges into scalable o9 configurations leveraging generative AI capabilities to drive forecasting accuracy supply resilience and continuous process improvement in a hybrid work model.


Responsibilities

  • Design o9 integrated business planning solutions that align with complex planning processes across demand supply and inventory in high technology environments
  • Develop end to end o9 demand planning workflows that improve forecast accuracy scenario planning and collaboration between research teams product management and operations
  • Configure o9 supply chain analytics capabilities to provide transparent insights on service levels capacity constraints and downstream impacts for high technology product portfolios
  • Implement o9 MEIO capabilities to optimize multi echelon inventory policies while balancing service expectations working capital constraints and risk tolerance
  • Translate stakeholder requirements from research and development and high technology business units into detailed o9 functional specifications and configuration blueprints
  • Partner with data and analytics teams to define data models data quality rules and integration needs that support o9 planning analytics and generative AI features
  • Design generative AI enabled use cases within the o9 platform that enhance demand sensing promotion planning and exception management for rapidly changing technology markets
  • Create reusable functional design patterns configuration standards and documentation that ensure consistency maintainability and scalability across o9 implementations
  • Perform functional testing user acceptance support and defect triage to validate o9 planning capabilities against business requirements and quality expectations
  • Guide business stakeholders through o9 solution demonstrations explaining planning outputs analytics insights and trade off decisions in clear and practical terms
  • Drive continuous improvement of planning processes by analyzing performance indicators and recommending enhancements to o9 configurations and planning policies
  • Collaborate with change and training partners to shape adoption strategies functional training materials and job aids that help planning teams fully leverage o9 capabilities
  • Support business value realization by tracking benefits such as forecast accuracy inventory turns and service improvements enabled by o9 solutions in high technology contexts

  • Qualifications

  • Combine eight to ten years of experience in functional solution design or architecture for planning platforms with a strong focus on integrated business planning processes
  • Apply advanced hands on experience with o9 integrated business planning demand planning supply chain analytics and MEIO modules in real world program deployments
  • Bring practical exposure to research and development and high technology domains including complex product lifecycles engineering driven changes and rapid innovation cycles
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of generative AI concepts including prompt design and model output interpretation as applied to planning and analytics use cases
  • Use strong requirements analysis and process design skills to capture current state define target operating models and translate them into detailed o9 functional designs
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non technical stakeholders presenting complex planning concepts and analytics insights in concise accessible language
  • Adapt comfortably to hybrid work arrangements collaborating across time zones and partnering with distributed teams using digital collaboration tools and structured routines
