Job Summary

Develop optimize and support data driven applications using Python and Snowflake platforms within a global hybrid work environment. Collaborate with cross functional teams to design reliable data solutions enhance performance and ensure secure database operations on MS SQL Server. Apply analytical skills to support property and casualty insurance data needs while adhering to enterprise quality standards.


Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust Python applications that process and transform complex datasets to support analytics and operational reporting across business functions.
  • Strong experience in Data Warehousing concepts
  • Implement efficient data pipelines that integrate Snowflake and MS SQL Server sources to deliver timely and accurate information to downstream systems and teams.
  • Optimize Snowflake queries and data models to achieve consistent performance cost efficiency and scalability for enterprise data workloads.
  • Administer MS SQL Server environments by monitoring health configuring security and handling routine maintenance tasks to ensure continuous data availability.
  • Collaborate with architects analysts and product teams to translate functional requirements into well structured technical solutions that align with enterprise data standards.
  • Create reusable Python components and utilities that simplify data integration validation and error handling while improving overall development productivity.
  • Apply secure coding and data handling practices to protect sensitive information and comply with internal risk and compliance guidelines.
  • Develop unit tests and participate in peer reviews to maintain code quality promote shared ownership and reduce production defects.
  • Prepare and maintain clear technical documentation for data flows configurations and operational runbooks that support handover and future maintenance.
  • Support production deployments by analyzing incidents troubleshooting issues across Python Snowflake and MS SQL Server layers and implementing durable fixes.
  • Engage with stakeholders in a hybrid work setting using written English communication to clarify requirements share progress updates and manage expectations.
  • Utilize knowledge of property and casualty insurance data entities when available to design solutions that better reflect domain specific business needs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements to development practices monitoring and automation that increase reliability and business value.

  • Qualifications

  • Possess three to five years of hands on experience in Python development with a strong focus on data processing automation and integration tasks.
  • Demonstrate practical experience working with Python three specific features and libraries that improve code readability maintainability and performance.
  • Have solid experience using Snowflake for data warehousing including query development performance tuning and secure data sharing practices.
  • Bring working knowledge of Snowflake Cortex capabilities to design intelligent data solutions that can support advanced analytics use cases.
  • Show proven experience in MS SQL Server administration including backup strategies user and role management and routine performance monitoring.
  • Display ability to read and write English documentation and technical specifications clearly in order to collaborate effectively with global teams.
  • Preferably have prior exposure to property and casualty insurance concepts such as policies claims and underwriting data structures.
  • Exhibit familiarity with hybrid work practices including remote collaboration tools and structured communication in distributed teams.
