Role: Marketing GEO Data & Reporting Analyst
Location: Bangalore
Exp: 6 to 9 Yrs
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are hiring a Marketing GEO Data & Reporting Analyst to build the measurement infrastructure that connects GEO performance to marketing outcomes. This role is responsible for establishing the AI visibility baseline, developing marketing performance dashboards, and producing the data-driven insights that guide the GEO marketing strategy. You will ensure that every GEO investment is tied to measurable marketing outcomes—from AI citation frequency and brand share-of-voice to organic traffic attribution and conversion impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establish a comprehensive AI visibility baseline for the marketing brand, measuring citation frequency, share-of-voice by AI engine, and brand mention accuracy across all major LLMs as the benchmark for all GEO marketing progress.
• Build and maintain live GEO marketing performance dashboards—using the client's preferred analytics platform—tracking AI citation trends, organic traffic from AI-referred sessions, and marketing content performance against defined KPIs weekly.
• Analyze AI bot crawl logs and server-side data to determine which marketing pages are being actively retrieved by AI engines, surfacing insights on crawl depth, retrieval frequency, and content discoverability for the Technical GEO Specialist.
• Design and execute prompt A/B experiments, testing marketing content structure, entity density, and answer format variations to identify which content patterns generate the highest citation rates for brand and category queries.
• Produce GEO marketing performance reports covering citation growth, traffic attribution, conversion contribution, and competitive share-of-voice, with clear trend analysis, variance explanations, and data-backed recommendations for the marketing strategy team.
• Develop marketing-specific attribution models that connect AI-referred traffic to downstream marketing KPIs including lead generation, product discovery, and revenue contribution.
• Monitor competitive brand performance in AI-generated results, tracking citation frequency trends for key marketing competitors and surfacing strategic insights for the GEO Strategist.
• Partner with marketing analytics and business intelligence teams to integrate GEO data into existing marketing measurement frameworks and executive reporting.
• Identify content performance patterns in GEO data that can inform marketing editorial planning, campaign content priorities, and brand messaging optimization.
• Build and maintain a GEO KPI framework that ties every marketing activity—content production, technical optimization, schema deployment—to a measurable marketing outcome.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• AI visibility measurement for marketing — advanced proficiency with Semrush AI Toolkit and custom prompt-based citation tracking to measure brand presence across generative AI engines at scale for marketing reporting purposes.
• Data visualization and marketing dashboard development — expert-level ability to design interactive marketing performance dashboards, translating complex multi-source GEO data into clear, stakeholder-ready visual reporting with drill-down capability.
• Web analytics and AI traffic attribution for marketing — deep proficiency with analysis to identify AI-referred traffic sessions, separate AI bot crawl activity from human marketing traffic, and build multi-touch attribution models connecting GEO visibility to marketing conversion events.
• Prompt A/B testing design and analysis for marketing content — ability to design statistically valid prompt experiments testing marketing content variables (answer format, entity inclusion, heading structure, schema type) across AI engines.
• GEO KPI framework development for marketing — ability to define a comprehensive marketing measurement architecture covering AI citation frequency, share-of-voice by engine, AI-referred organic traffic, schema coverage rate, and citation-to-conversion attribution.
• Marketing analytics expertise — proficiency with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or equivalent marketing analytics platforms, with experience integrating GEO metrics into existing marketing measurement and reporting workflows.
• Statistical analysis and data storytelling — ability to identify significant trends in GEO marketing data, explain variance, and present findings in a format that drives actionable marketing strategy decisions.
