About the role
As a Senior CrowdStrike Engineer, you will make an impact by ensuring the effective management, deployment, and performance of endpoint security tools across the enterprise. You will be a valued member of the Threat & Vulnerability Management (TVM) team and work collaboratively with security operations, infrastructure, and IT teams to maintain a secure and compliant environment.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and support endpoint security agents including CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, and Qualys
- Develop and maintain processes to ensure agent coverage, accuracy, and compliance across all endpoints
- Monitor agent health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues
- Support enterprise-wide deployment, configuration, and updates of security tools
- Analyze coverage gaps, produce reports, and maintain operational documentation and runbooks
Work model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2–3 days per week in a Cognizant or client office in Toronto, ON. What you need to have to be considered
- 3 to 5 years of experience in endpoint security, security engineering, or security operations
- Hands-on experience with CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, and Qualys
- Strong knowledge of endpoint security agent management and lifecycle (deployment, configuration, monitoring)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Experience with security coverage reporting, compliance tracking, and gap analysis
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Experience working within a Threat & Vulnerability Management (TVM) program
- Familiarity with enterprise endpoint management tools and environments
- Knowledge of automation or scripting for security operations
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and completeness of deployments

We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between $85,000 to $100,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
