Cognizant is seeking an accomplished Principal Functional Architect – Oracle Cloud Financials to serve as a trusted advisor and domain expert for large-scale ERP implementations and finance transformation programs. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Financials, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven ability to deliver business outcomes across complex, enterprise-level engagements.
About the role
In this role, you will lead functional architecture and drive end-to-end delivery of Oracle Cloud ERP Financials solutions. You will partner with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define strategy, optimize financial processes, and ensure successful implementation across the full project lifecycle.
In this role you will
• Lead end-to-end functional architecture covering Oracle Financials modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Intercompany, and Consolidation
• Design scalable Chart of Accounts structures, segment value sets, and enterprise structures aligned with reporting and statutory requirements
• Develop key documentation including BRDs, FDDs, and SDDs for all in-scope finance modules
• Architect integrations between Oracle Financials and upstream/downstream systems (HR, Procurement, CRM, Banking, Tax) using Oracle Integration Cloud and APIs
• Provide guidance on Oracle Financials Cloud best practices, including configuration strategy and optimal use of standard functionality
• Contribute expertise in advanced modules such as Revenue Management Cloud, Accounting Hub (FAH), Subscription Management, and Risk Management (preferred)
• Lead full lifecycle delivery including Requirements Gathering, CRP, SIT, UAT, Cutover, and Go-Live support
• Configure Oracle Financials modules and manage configuration workbooks with appropriate version control
• Facilitate CRP and UAT workshops and drive stakeholder alignment and sign-offs
• Define and execute data migration strategy including financial data validation, reconciliation, and load processes (GL balances, AP/AR, Fixed Assets)
Work Model: Remote with Milestone travel to Philadelphia
What you need to have to be considered
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Finance and/or ERP consulting with at least 5 years in Oracle Cloud Financials implementations
• Proven track record delivering at least 3 full lifecycle Oracle ERP Cloud implementations
• Strong functional expertise across Oracle Financials modules including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Intercompany
• Experience with enterprise-scale implementations and complex financial transformations
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
These will help you stand out
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Accounting Hub (FAH), Advanced Collections, and Expense Management
• Hands-on experience with FBDI, ADFdi, OTBI, and Financial Reporting Studio (FRS)
• Professional certification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Oracle Cloud Financials Implementation certification preferred
• Master’s degree or MBA preferred

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $116,100 - $156,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
