Job Summary

Serve as a senior developer specializing in Azure data platforms and Snowflake to design build and optimize scalable data solutions in a hybrid work environment. Apply deep expertise in Azure Data Lake Store Azure Data Factory Python and Snowflake features to deliver secure high quality data products that empower analytics and strategic decision making for global stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Design robust batch and near real time data ingestion pipelines using Azure Data Factory to integrate diverse enterprise data sources into Azure Data Lake Store and Snowflake in a secure and scalable manner.
  • Develop efficient data models and curated layers in Snowflake using advanced Snowflake SQL features to support analytics ready structures and trusted business reporting across multiple domains.
  • Implement modular reusable Python components and utilities that automate data transformations validations and orchestration logic to reduce manual effort and improve overall pipeline reliability.
  • Optimize performance of Azure Data Lake Store and Snowflake workloads through tuning of queries storage patterns and resource configurations to meet strict service level objectives for critical data processes.
  • Configure and manage Snowflake Tasks and related scheduling capabilities to orchestrate complex dependency chains and ensure timely execution of data refresh cycles for downstream consumers.
  • Apply Snowflake Cortex capabilities and other advanced data services to deliver intelligent data products that unlock deeper insights and accelerate data driven decision making for business teams.
  • Create comprehensive technical design documents and maintain up to date data flow diagrams to provide clear traceability from source systems through Azure and Snowflake layers to final consumable outputs.
  • Collaborate closely with data architects business analysts and product teams to translate analytical requirements into detailed technical solutions that align with enterprise data standards.
  • Implement robust monitoring alerting and logging across Azure Data Factory pipelines Python jobs and Snowflake processes to enable proactive issue detection and faster incident resolution.
  • Ensure strong data governance practices by applying data quality rules security controls and access policies across Azure Data Lake Store and Snowflake environments in line with organizational guidelines.
  • Conduct code reviews and share best practices on Python development Snowflake query design and Azure data engineering patterns to raise overall engineering quality across the team.
  • Support user acceptance testing and production rollout activities by analyzing defects resolving data issues and refining solution behavior based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Continuously evaluate new Azure and Snowflake capabilities and propose practical improvements that enhance scalability resilience and usability of the data ecosystem for future initiatives.

  • Qualifications

  • Demonstrate substantial hands on experience in designing and delivering enterprise data solutions using Azure Data Lake Store as the central storage layer for large scale datasets.
  • Exhibit strong expertise with Azure Data Factory including data flows mapping configurations and integration runtimes to orchestrate complex ingestion and transformation pipelines.
  • Show advanced Python programming proficiency for data engineering including data processing frameworks automation scripts and integration with Azure and Snowflake services.
  • Provide proven experience working with Snowflake SQL Snowflake Tasks and related platform components to build performant data models and automated processing chains.
  • Display practical exposure to Snowflake Cortex or similar advanced analytics features enabling intelligent transformations feature engineering and augmented insights within the data platform.
  • Possess solid understanding of data warehousing principles data modeling concepts and performance optimization techniques relevant to both Azure and Snowflake environments.
  • Utilize effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross functional stakeholders in a hybrid work model ensuring clarity of requirements and timely delivery of data solutions.

  • Certifications Required

    Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate and Snowflake SnowPro Core or advanced specialty certification.
