As a Forward Deployed Engineer (AI & Full-Stack Solutions), you will make an impact by identifying, designing, and delivering innovative AI-driven and full-stack solutions that solve complex business challenges. In this role, you will:
- Partner directly with business stakeholders to identify operational inefficiencies and uncover high-value opportunities for AI and automation.
- Design and develop enterprise-grade solutions leveraging GenAI, multi-agent architectures, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and cloud-native technologies.
- Build and deploy full-stack applications, including modern user interfaces, backend services, APIs, and data management components.
- Lead technical discussions, requirements gathering sessions, demonstrations, and solution reviews with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-quality delivery aligned with business objectives.
Work model
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2–3 days per week in a client or Cognizant office.

What you need to have to be considered
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or full-stack development within enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python (FastAPI, Flask) or Go for backend development, microservices, and API orchestration.
- Experience developing modern web applications using React or Angular.
- Proven experience with Generative AI technologies, including LLMs, agent frameworks, prompt engineering, vector databases, and RAG architectures.
- Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Cloud Run, App Engine, Cloud SQL/PostgreSQL, IAM, security controls, and cloud-native application deployment.
- Experience designing scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise solutions.
- Ability to gather requirements, lead workshops, and translate ambiguous business needs into actionable technical solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including presenting technical recommendations to senior business leaders.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments and managing multiple priorities in fast-paced settings.
These will help you stand out
- Experience with Google Vertex AI, Gemini Enterprise, or other enterprise AI platforms.
- Knowledge of LangChain, LlamaIndex, Agent Engine frameworks, and AI orchestration patterns.
- Experience building multi-agent solutions and intelligent workflow automation platforms.
- Familiarity with OAuth, Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP), Cloud Armor, and enterprise security governance practices.
- Experience creating technical architecture documentation, BRDs, PRDs, and executive-level presentations.
- Background in consulting, client-facing engineering, or forward-deployed engineering roles.
- Experience delivering AI-powered products from proof of concept through production deployment.
- Knowledge of analytics, workflow optimization, and business process transformation.
