Job summary
Serve as a senior geospatial manager responsible for planning executing and optimizing complex mapping and location intelligence initiatives in a hybrid work model. Apply agile and scrum practices to deliver data driven solutions that enhance decision making for global clients while ensuring stakeholder expectations quality and timelines are consistently met.
Responsibilities
- Drive end to end delivery of enterprise scale geospatial and mapping solutions that enable accurate location intelligence and measurable business value for internal and external clients.
- Coordinate cross functional agile teams to translate geospatial requirements into prioritized backlogs user stories and iterative delivery plans that align with organizational goals.
- Oversee scrum ceremonies including planning review and retrospective meetings to ensure predictable delivery of high quality geospatial features and enhancements.
- Collaborate with product owners and domain experts to define clear acceptance criteria and success metrics for geospatial services supporting data accuracy and reliability.
- Guide solution design for map services spatial analysis and data visualization so that systems are scalable maintainable and compliant with enterprise standards.
- Monitor operational performance of geospatial platforms and workflows and drive continuous improvement using metrics such as cycle time data quality and customer satisfaction.
- Engage stakeholders across business and technology functions to gather feedback communicate progress and refine geospatial roadmaps in a transparent manner.
- Manage dependencies and risks across multiple agile teams ensuring that geospatial deliverables remain aligned with wider program timelines and budget constraints.
- Provide structured guidance on best practices for agile scrum and stakeholder management within geospatial projects ensuring consistent ways of working across the portfolio.
- Coordinate with data governance and security teams to support compliant handling of spatial datasets and promote responsible use of location information in all solutions.
- Develop and maintain clear documentation for geospatial processes standards and workflows so that teams can onboard quickly and operate efficiently.
- Partner with training and enablement teams to promote adoption of geospatial capabilities across the organization expanding the impact of mapping and spatial analytics.
- Align day to day execution with the company sustainability and social impact objectives by enabling location aware insights that support safer infrastructure and better community planning.
Qualifications
- Require extensive experience in agile and scrum delivery environments with a proven track record of managing complex geospatial or mapping programs over many iterations.
- Require strong stakeholder management skills demonstrated through sustained collaboration with business partners product teams and technical specialists in hybrid work settings.
- Require deep exposure to geospatial concepts such as spatial data management map services and geospatial analytics gained over many years in large scale environments.
- Require experience coordinating distributed teams in a hybrid model ensuring effective communication documentation and transparency without reliance on travel.
- Nice to have experience integrating geospatial platforms with analytics business intelligence or data warehouse environments to create holistic decision support solutions.
- Nice to have prior work with regulated industries such as utilities transportation or public sector where geospatial insights directly support safety compliance or societal outcomes.
- Nice to have exposure to coaching agile practices for geospatial teams including refinement of backlogs estimation methods and continuous improvement techniques.
