Job Summary
Serve as a senior consultant specializing in transportation and logistics guiding clients through complex supply chain optimization network design and digital transformation initiatives in a hybrid work model. Apply eight to ten years of domain experience to improve operational efficiency service reliability and sustainability while aligning solutions with business strategy and measurable value.
Responsibilities
- Lead end to end consulting engagements in transportation and logistics that diagnose client challenges and deliver actionable roadmaps for operational and financial improvement.
- Analyze multimodal transportation networks to identify opportunities for optimized routing carrier mix and consolidation that reduce cost while maintaining or improving service levels.
- Design scalable transportation planning and execution processes that align with warehouse operations inventory strategies and customer service commitments.
- Develop data driven performance dashboards and key performance indicators that provide clear visibility into freight cost transit time and on time performance for client stakeholders.
- Collaborate with client operations procurement and finance teams to define requirements for transportation management solutions and ensure that process changes are practical and sustainable.
- Configure and validate transportation and logistics system capabilities in partnership with technical teams so that functional designs translate into robust and user friendly solutions.
- Conduct detailed current state assessments through stakeholder interviews process mapping and data analysis to uncover root causes of inefficiencies in logistics operations.
- Prepare and deliver clear client presentations including business cases and scenario comparisons that explain complex transportation topics in accessible and persuasive terms.
- Guide clients through change adoption by creating training content defining new ways of working and supporting hypercare activities after go live.
- Coordinate with global delivery and analytics teams in a hybrid work model to ensure timely execution of project tasks and consistent quality of deliverables.
- Document standard operating procedures playbooks and best practices that institutionalize improved transportation and logistics processes across client organizations.
- Advise clients on sustainability levers in logistics such as mode shift network redesign and improved asset utilization that support environmental and social objectives.
- Align consulting recommendations with the company mission by demonstrating how more resilient logistics networks benefit communities through reliable delivery of goods and reduced environmental impact.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate eight to ten years of hands on experience in transportation and logistics operations or consulting including exposure to line haul planning last mile delivery or freight management.
- Exhibit strong knowledge of core transportation processes such as order management load planning tendering tracking carrier settlement and freight audit in regional and global contexts.
- Show experience working with transportation management or logistics systems and related tools such as route optimization engines and analytics platforms to support decision making.
- Display familiarity with industry practices across trucking ocean air and parcel movements including common service metrics contractual structures and service level expectations.
- Apply proven analytical skills using spreadsheets and business intelligence tools to interpret large transportation datasets identify patterns and translate insights into concrete actions.
- Communicate effectively in hybrid team environments through structured documentation virtual workshops and stakeholder meetings to maintain alignment across dispersed groups.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while coordinating closely with cross functional colleagues to deliver predictable project outcomes within agreed timelines.
