Desktop / End User Support Engineer

Job Summary
Provide L1/L2 end-user support for desktops, laptops, POS devices, and enterprise applications. Troubleshoot technical issues using remote tools, ensure system availability, and support business users in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote support for hardware/software issues across desktops, laptops, and peripherals
- Troubleshoot OS, application, and connectivity issues
- Manage Active Directory tasks (password resets, user access, domain issues)
- Support Office 365 and collaboration tools
- Handle incidents/service requests and ensure SLA compliance
- Document tickets, resolutions, and maintain asset records
- Coordinate with resolver groups for complex issues
- Perform device setup, deployment, and patching
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in end-user/desktop support
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, AD, Office 365, and remote support tools
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and ITIL processes
- Good troubleshooting and communication skills

The annual salary for this position is between $37,800- $58,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
