Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Developer with strong expertise in Talend ETL, PL/SQL, and data warehousing to design, build, and optimize scalable data integration solutions. The role focuses on delivering high-quality data pipelines, ensuring reliable ETL orchestration, and enabling data-driven decision-making through robust and trusted data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable ETL solutions using Talend and PL/SQL to support data warehousing and analytics
- Build, optimize, and maintain ETL workflows for high-volume data processing with minimal latency
- Develop complex SQL queries and PL/SQL procedures for performance and accuracy
- Configure and manage ETL job scheduling using external schedulers, ensuring reliability and dependency handling
- Implement scheduling strategies including calendars, priorities, and recovery mechanisms
- Develop Unix shell scripts for automation (deployment, file transfers, monitoring, and log management)
- Monitor batch processes and proactively troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and failures
- Optimize Talend Administration Center (TAC) for job execution, resource utilization, and monitoring
- Apply data warehousing principles (star schema, SCDs, partitioning) in solution design
- Implement data quality checks, validation, and reconciliation processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Document technical designs, workflows, and operational procedures
- Drive continuous improvement through optimization and cost reduction initiatives
- Ensure data security and compliance with organizational standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Talend ETL (development and administration)
- Expertise in PL/SQL and advanced SQL development
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (star schema, SCDs, partitioning)
- Experience with ETL scheduling tools and dependency management
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux and shell scripting
- Experience in performance tuning and large-scale data processing
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Talend Administration Center (TAC) optimization
- Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Experience in data quality frameworks and governance
