We are seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and operate enterprise-grade AWS infrastructure. The role combines hands-on engineering with solution ownership — building automation, enforcing governance and security standards, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to landing zone and platform design with limited supervision.
.
● Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure at scale — EC2/Auto Scaling, EBS/EFS, S3, VPCs, ELB/ALB/NLB, and key managed services — across multiple accounts.
● Own Infrastructure-as-Code delivery using Terraform (preferred) or CloudFormation/CDK, including reusable modules and CI/CD integration.
● Contribute to landing zone, account vending, and governance design using AWS Control Tower, Organizations, and the Well-Architected Framework.
● Implement and manage IAM roles/policies, IAM Identity Center (SSO), KMS, Secrets Manager, and SCP-based guardrails.
● Design and operate networking — VPC peering, Transit Gateway, VPN/Direct Connect, route tables, Route 53, NAT/PrivateLink — within platform service limits.
● Build and maintain monitoring, logging, and observability using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS Config; drive reliability improvements.
● Lead operational activities — patching strategy, backup/DR, capacity planning, cost optimization (FinOps), and resource governance.
● Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, connectivity, and security issues; perform root-cause analysis.
● Manage AWS service limits and quotas, raising increase requests and designing scalable, limit-aware architectures.
● Mentor junior engineers, review IaC and designs, and contribute to standards and runbooks.
● Collaborate with architecture, security, networking, and application teams on solution delivery.
What you must have to be considered
● 4–6 years of hands-on AWS infrastructure experience with independent solution delivery.
● Strong command of AWS core services — Compute, Storage, VPC networking, IAM, KMS, and key managed services.
● Proven Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform preferred) with module design and CI/CD integration.
● Solid scripting skills (Python/boto3, AWS CLI; Bash/PowerShell a plus).
● Strong networking knowledge — TCP/IP, DNS, routing, BGP basics, hybrid connectivity (VPN/Direct Connect), and segmentation.
● Working knowledge of AWS governance — Organizations, SCPs, Config, tagging, and security baselines.
● Understanding of AWS service limits/quotas and capacity/cost planning.
● Experience with monitoring, DR/backup, and operational best practices.
These will help you succeed
● Exposure to landing zone implementation, multi-account governance, or Control Tower design.
● Familiarity with containers (ECS/EKS), and secondary exposure to Azure or GCP.
● Awareness of egress control / SASE tooling (e.g., Zscaler) and zero-trust networking.
Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect – Associate, SysOps Administrator – Associate, or Advanced Networking – Specialty
