Job Summary

This hybrid role is for an experienced S4 HANA PP/QM Developer with four to seven years of hands-on experience in quality management and master data. The developer will design and enhance scalable S4 HANA QM solutions optimize master data structures and support day shift operations helping the organization deliver reliable products and services for global customers.


Responsibilities

  • Design robust S4 HANA PP/QM configurations and custom objects that support consistent quality processes across multiple business units and geographies
  • Develop efficient enhancements and extensions in S4 HANA PP/QM that improve inspection processing defect recording and notification handling for business users
  • Configure and maintain S4 HANA PP/QM master data including inspection plans master inspection characteristics and sampling procedures to ensure data accuracy and standardization
  • Implement optimized master data structures that reduce redundancy and improve performance for quality planning execution and reporting activities
  • Analyze complex business requirements in quality management and translate them into scalable S4 HANA QM design specifications with clear technical documentation
  • Collaborate closely with functional stakeholders to validate solutions in S4 HANA QM and ensure they align with enterprise quality policies and regulatory expectations
  • Create detailed unit tests and integration tests for S4 HANA PP/QM developments that improve system reliability and reduce defects in production environments
  • Provide day shift support for incidents and change requests in S4 HANA PP/QM by performing impact analysis root cause identification and timely resolution
  • Optimize S4 HANA PP/QM reports and analytics so that operational teams can monitor quality trends and make data informed decisions that reduce defects and rework
  • Migrate and validate PP/QM related master data during rollouts and upgrades to ensure continuity of quality processes and avoid disruption to manufacturing and logistics operations
  • Document technical designs configuration decisions and support procedures so that future enhancements and troubleshooting activities are efficient and consistent
  • Partner with cross functional teams in supply chain production and logistics to ensure S4 HANA QM solutions contribute to safer more reliable products for customers and communities
  • Continuously evaluate new S4 HANA features in quality management and propose improvements that enhance business value regulatory compliance and sustainability outcomes


Qualifications

  • Require a minimum of four years of focused experience in S4 HANA PP/QM with strong exposure to inspection processing defects management and notifications in enterprise environments
  • Require proven hands-on expertise in S4 HANA PP/QM master data including inspection plans master inspection characteristics sampling procedures and related configuration elements
  • Require strong understanding of core S4 HANA modules such as MM and PP and their integration with PP/QM processes for procurement and production quality
  • Require practical experience in developing or enhancing objects using S4 HANA compatible tools such as ABAP based extensions user exits and enhancement frameworks for PP/QM
  • Require strong analytical skills to interpret quality requirements map them into system design and validate outcomes through structured testing practices
  • Require demonstrated ability to work in hybrid work models collaborate with distributed teams and manage day shift responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Nice to have familiarity with advanced S4 HANA capabilities such as embedded analytics Fiori applications for PP/QM and integration with external quality or laboratory systems
  • Nice to have experience in migration or greenfield implementations of S4 HANA that involved significant PP/QM master data setup and validation activities
  • Nice to have exposure to regulated industries where S4 HANA QM supports compliance requirements audit readiness and continuous improvement initiatives
