Salesforce Project Manager
Key Responsibilities
• Own end-to-end project management for the Omnichannel Marketing Orchestration engagement, including planning, scheduling, resourcing, risk management, and status reporting.
• Lead Salesforce delivery teams (Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Data Cloud, MuleSoft/integration) through Agile/hybrid delivery cycles — sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Serve as the primary delivery point of contact between Cognizant and stakeholders, managing expectations and communicating progress, risks, and dependencies clearly and proactively.
• Coordinate cross-functional workstreams spanning Salesforce architecture, marketing operations, data/integration, QA, and change management to ensure aligned, on-time delivery.
• Manage project financials, including budget tracking, resource forecasting, effort estimation, and change requests.
• Drive requirements gathering and translate business needs from commercial/marketing teams into actionable user stories and delivery plans.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, FDA promotional guidelines, GxP validation, and data privacy requirements) as applicable to marketing orchestration.
• Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues; escalate appropriately and drive resolution.
• Manage vendor and third-party coordination where the OMO platform integrates with external data sources or marketing tools.
• Support release management, UAT coordination, and go-live/hypercare planning for platform rollouts.
• Maintain project governance artifacts: project charters, RAID logs, status decks, steering committee materials, and resource plans.
Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum of 8+ years of project management experience, with at least 4+ years managing Salesforce-based implementations.
• Hands-on experience delivering projects involving Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Data Cloud in a marketing orchestration or customer engagement context.
• Prior experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry projects strongly preferred, with familiarity around compliance and regulatory constraints (HIPAA, FDA guidelines, GxP).
• Strong working knowledge of Agile/Scrum and hybrid delivery methodologies; PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or SAFe certification preferred.
• Experience managing consulting/SI delivery teams (Cognizant or similar) on client-facing engagements.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior client leadership and steering committees.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce implementation lifecycle: requirements, design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and Smartsheet.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Marketing Cloud Administrator, or Salesforce Certified Project/Program-related credentials).
• Experience with omnichannel marketing platforms and Next Best Action / journey orchestration concepts.
• Familiarity with pharma commercial data models (HCP/HCO data, MDM, consent management).
• Prior experience working within a Cognizant (or similar SI/consulting) delivery model, including offshore/onshore coordination.
