About the role
As a Network Engineer - Vulnerability Remediation & Compliance, you will make an impact by partnering with the Network Engineering & Operations team to design, build, and operate resilient, secure connectivity across the organization's enterprise. You will work closely with Architecture, Security, and Risk teams to ensure the network meets performance, reliability, and regulatory expectations through strong standards, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will support vulnerability remediation and compliance initiatives as part of the Logos program, with a focus on aligning network infrastructure with enterprise security standards while maintaining operational stability. You will be a valued member of the Cloud Infrastructure and Security team, working closely with the Manager.
In this role, you will
• Validate and remediate network vulnerabilities identified through enterprise scanning processes
• Ensure network infrastructure complies with defined security baselines and configuration standards
• Perform impact analysis and determine applicability of vulnerabilities
• Execute remediation activities (patching, configuration changes, upgrades)
• Support change management processes for production deployments
• Maintain documentation to support compliance reporting and audit readiness
• Partner with NOC and Engineering teams to validate fixes and ensure stability
• Track assigned remediation tasks and meet defined SLAs
Work Model

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Charlotte, NC or Detroit, MI. What you need to have to be considered
• 4 or more years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or network engineering role
• Strong foundational knowledge of routing and switching
• Experience troubleshooting production network environments
• Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing systems
These will help you stand out
• Exposure to vulnerability management or compliance processes
• Experience with Cisco and/or Arista platforms
• Basic scripting or automation experience
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation discipline
• Able to operate effectively in structured, process-driven environments
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Focused on execution and meeting defined timelines
