Job Summary
Infra Architect role in a multinational company requiring twelve to fourteen years of experience in designing and optimizing secure enterprise network infrastructures. The role focuses on wireless solutions firewalls switching and routing load balancing and WAN optimization to support resilient hybrid environments. The Infra Architect will collaborate with cross functional teams to align infrastructure design with business goals and analytics driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Design robust enterprise network architectures that integrate wireless solutions Cisco firewalls switching and routing load balancing and WAN optimizers to ensure secure and resilient connectivity across hybrid environments.
- Develop detailed high level and low level infrastructure designs that address performance scalability and security requirements while remaining compliant with organizational standards and regulatory expectations.
- Coordinate with application security and infrastructure teams to translate business requirements into practical network solutions that support reliable service delivery and future expansion.
- Optimize firewall policies and security zoning strategies using Cisco firewall technologies to balance stringent protection needs with efficient network throughput for business critical applications.
- Configure and fine tune load balancing solutions to distribute traffic effectively across multiple services and data centers enhancing availability and user experience in hybrid operating models.
- Administer and improve switching and routing configurations with a strong focus on Cisco platforms to ensure stable routing minimal latency and simplified network segmentation across campus and data center environments.
- Implement and refine WAN optimization strategies leveraging WAN optimizer platforms to reduce latency improve throughput and enhance application performance for geographically distributed teams.
- Monitor network performance metrics using analytic driven dashboards and proactively identify capacity trends bottlenecks and risks recommending timely improvements for sustained service quality.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network topology configuration standards operational runbooks and troubleshooting guides to support consistent day to day operations and knowledge sharing.
- Conduct impact analysis and risk assessments for infrastructure changes ensuring that design decisions support high availability disaster recovery readiness and business continuity requirements.
- Collaborate with security teams to align network architecture with zero trust principles and security best practices embedding control points at firewalls wireless controllers and core routing layers.
- Provide advanced technical guidance and mentoring to operations teams by reviewing incident trends recommending permanent fixes and simplifying designs to reduce operational complexity.
- Engage with stakeholders and vendors to assess new technologies in areas such as analytics enabled monitoring software defined networking and network automation that can improve service outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the network landscape by evaluating lessons learned from incidents and projects translating them into design enhancements that better support organizational goals and societal impact through reliable digital services.
Qualifications
- Possess twelve to fourteen years of progressive experience in infrastructure and network architecture with significant exposure to large enterprise or multinational environments.
- Demonstrate strong hands on expertise in wireless networking technologies including design implementation and optimization of secure and scalable wireless solutions for corporate users.
- Exhibit advanced proficiency with Cisco firewall platforms and general firewall concepts including policy design segmentation strategies and integration with security monitoring tools.
- Show deep experience in switching and routing using Cisco technologies with proven ability to design resilient core and distribution layers and troubleshoot complex routing issues.
- Apply solid knowledge of load balancing concepts and technologies by designing solutions that improve application resilience performance and user experience across hybrid deployments.
- Utilize WAN optimizers and related techniques to enhance application performance over wide area networks including scenarios with high latency or constrained bandwidth.
- Leverage domain experience in analytics when available by interpreting performance metrics using dashboards and applying data driven methods to guide capacity planning and optimization.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non technical stakeholders in a hybrid work model demonstrating clear documentation skills and structured problem solving approaches.
