Job Summary
Contribute as a software engineer delivering secure and scalable applications for life and annuities insurance using C# Python Net Framework React Js SQL and Node JS within a hybrid work model. Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to design build and maintain business critical solutions that improve customer experience and streamline insurance operations while ensuring high quality and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Develop full stack applications using Python Net Framework React Js SQL and Node JS that support core life and annuities insurance processing workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Implement robust backend services that handle policy administration premium calculations and claims processing while ensuring data consistency and high performance for insurance stakeholders.
- Design and optimize relational database schemas and complex SQL queries to support reporting analytics and transactional workloads specific to life and annuities products.
- Build responsive and accessible user interfaces using React Js that enable insurance operations teams and customer facing channels to manage policies and customer data with clarity and speed.
- Create and maintain reusable service components and integration logic in Node JS to connect internal insurance platforms with third party systems and external data providers.
- Apply secure coding practices and perform thorough unit and integration testing to ensure compliance with regulatory expectations in the life and annuities insurance domain.
- Collaborate with business analysts and product partners to translate insurance product requirements into technical designs and clear implementation tasks for the engineering team.
- Analyze production issues related to policy servicing and claims journeys troubleshoot root causes and implement sustainable fixes that reduce incident frequency and improve stability.
- Optimize application performance by profiling critical paths tuning queries and refining service interactions to deliver responsive experiences for internal users and policyholders.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation that captures system design configuration details and operational procedures for ongoing support and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement sprint planning and retrospectives to align engineering activities with business priorities and delivery timelines.
- Support continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines by configuring build steps automated tests and deployment verification checks that maintain high quality releases.
- Coordinate closely with quality engineering and operations partners to validate features manage hybrid work collaboration and ensure smooth deployments during day shifts without travel expectations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate hands on experience in Python development including building services scripts and automation that support complex insurance processing requirements.
- Show practical expertise with Net Framework for developing maintainable enterprise applications that integrate with existing insurance platforms and services.
- Exhibit strong skills in React Js for crafting modular and maintainable front end components that enhance usability for life and annuities operations teams.
- Apply advanced SQL skills to design normalized schemas write optimized queries and manage stored logic that supports transactional and analytical needs in insurance systems.
- Use Node JS effectively to build scalable service layers and integration components that support event driven and API based communication for insurance workflows.
- Display proven experience in the life and annuities insurance domain including understanding of products policy life cycles billing processes and regulatory considerations.
- Communicate fluently in English across reading writing and speaking to collaborate with distributed teams document designs and interact with business partners in a hybrid work setting.
