Job Summary
We are seeking a Security Engineer with 6–8 years of experience in Security Engineering and DevSecOps to support the migration, integration, and enhancement of Snyk and Codewise security platforms. This role will focus on building automation, integrating security tooling into development workflows, and enabling secure software delivery practices across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong Python development skills, hands-on experience with application security tooling, and a solid background in CI/CD integration. The position requires a collaborative individual who can work effectively with development, security, and platform engineering teams.

In this role, you will:
· Lead and support the migration, implementation, and integration of Snyk and Codewise security platforms.
· Configure, maintain, and optimize Snyk capabilities including Snyk Code, Snyk Open Source, and Snyk Container.
· Develop Python-based automation solutions to streamline security workflows, vulnerability management, and reporting.
· Design and implement integrations using Snyk and Codewise APIs to enhance security processes and platform capabilities.
· Integrate security scanning and validation tools into CI/CD pipelines to enable automated DevSecOps practices.
· Collaborate with development teams to incorporate secure coding and vulnerability remediation processes into software delivery workflows.
· Troubleshoot and resolve platform integration issues while ensuring scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
· Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and implementation standards for security tooling.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance application security posture and developer experience.
What you need to have to be considered
· 6–8 years of experience in Security Engineering, DevSecOps, Application Security, or related cybersecurity roles.
· Strong proficiency in Python development for automation, scripting, and integration development.
· Hands-on experience configuring and managing Snyk security solutions in enterprise environments.
· Experience with Codewise or similar code analysis and application security tools.
· Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and security tooling integration.
· Familiarity with APIs, web services, and automation frameworks used in modern application environments.
· Knowledge of application security principles, vulnerability management, and secure software development practices.
· Strong communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across technical teams.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $[105,500 - 124,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
