We are seeking a Sr. Functional Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Vertex and a strong background in Finance & Accounting and Data Models. This hybrid role requires a strategic thinker who can drive impactful solutions and enhance our financial systems. The position operates during the day shift with no travel requirements.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of Vertex solutions to optimize financial processes and ensure compliance.
Oversee the integration of data models to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
Provide expert guidance on finance and accounting best practices to improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial systems with business objectives.
Analyze complex financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all financial systems and processes.
Ensure the seamless operation of financial systems by troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial data accuracy and reliability.
Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Monitor system performance and implement enhancements to improve user experience.
Facilitate training sessions to empower team members with the knowledge and skills needed for effective system use.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance financial systems.
Support the development of strategic plans to align financial systems with organizational goals.
Qualifications
Possess extensive experience in implementing and managing Vertex solutions.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of finance and accounting principles and practices.
Exhibit proficiency in designing and integrating data models for financial applications.
Showcase excellent analytical skills to interpret complex financial data.
Have a proven track record of successful collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Display strong problem-solving skills to address system issues effectively.
Hold a bachelor’s degree in finance accounting or a related field.
Certifications Required
Vertex Certified Professional CPA or equivalent in finance and accounting
