Drive the design and implementation of scalable data platforms as a Data Engineer with deep hands on expertise in Spark, Kafka, Python, SQL and PySpark. Collaborate with cross functional teams in a hybrid work model to deliver resilient data solutions that power analytics business insights and responsible innovation for global stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- +8 years of experience as Data Engineer
- Experience with SQL, Python, Spark and Pyspark is a must
- ADVANCED ENGLISH IS A MUST
- Hybrid role in any of our 4 locations in Mexico: CDMX, Guadalajara, Monterrey or Queretaro
Responsibilities
• Design end to end data platform architectures that use Spark Kafka Python SQL and PySpark to process high volume structured and unstructured datasets efficiently and reliably
• Define technical patterns for batch and streaming data pipelines that improve performance reliability and observability while aligning with the company data strategy and compliance standards
• Guide engineering teams in implementing reusable data ingestion frameworks on Kafka and Spark that reduce duplication of effort and accelerate delivery of new analytical workloads
• Create logical and physical data models that support analytics and reporting use cases while ensuring strong data quality lineage security and privacy controls across environments
• Develop reference implementations and production grade code in Spark in Scala and PySpark to validate architecture decisions and demonstrate best practices for coding testing and deployment
• Optimize Spark jobs and SQL queries by tuning resource configurations partitioning strategies and file formats to reduce costs and improve execution times for critical workloads
• Collaborate with product owners data engineers and analysts to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs that deliver measurable value for internal and external customers
