Job Summary
Sr Software Engineer B2 role for an experienced professional with strong expertise in AWS SQL Spring Boot Java JavaScript PL SQL and mySQL. The role involves designing scalable hybrid cloud applications improving performance ensuring code quality and collaborating with cross functional teams in a flexible hybrid work model without travel.
Responsibilities
- Design robust and scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot to support critical business applications and ensure reliable transaction processing
- Develop secure and efficient cloud native solutions using AWS services to optimize application performance and operational resilience
- Implement complex SQL and PL SQL logic to manage large data sets while ensuring data integrity consistency and accuracy
- Optimize relational database structures and queries for mySQL to reduce latency and improve overall application responsiveness
- Create responsive and accessible user interfaces using JavaScript to deliver consistent and intuitive user experiences across browsers
- Collaborate closely with product owners architects and testers to refine requirements and deliver incremental value in a hybrid work environment
- Apply secure coding practices and perform rigorous code reviews to maintain high quality standards and reduce production defects
- Automate unit integration and regression testing to improve reliability and accelerate safe deployment of new features and enhancements
- Monitor application health and performance using observability tools to identify bottlenecks and proactively remediate technical issues
- Contribute to technical design discussions and documentation to ensure shared understanding and maintainable solutions for complex systems
- Mentor junior engineers on coding standards design patterns and best practices to uplift overall team capability and productivity
- Coordinate with DevOps teams to streamline build and deployment pipelines on AWS and support continuous integration and delivery practices
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing production incidents and implementing sustainable corrective measures that enhance system stability
- Align engineering solutions with company goals to support responsible use of technology and deliver positive outcomes for customers and society
Qualifications
- Demonstrate extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise scale applications using Java and Spring Boot within complex ecosystems
- Show strong proficiency building and optimizing SQL and PL SQL queries in mySQL and related relational database platforms for high volume workloads
- Exhibit hands on expertise with core AWS services such as compute storage networking and managed databases to build resilient cloud solutions
- Apply solid understanding of JavaScript and modern frontend development practices to integrate intuitive interfaces with backend services
- Use practical knowledge of design patterns data structures algorithms and object oriented principles to build maintainable and testable codebases
- Display familiarity with secure coding practices and compliance standards relevant to cloud hosted applications in a multinational environment
- Possess experience working in hybrid agile teams collaborating through digital tools to deliver features on time and with consistent quality
Certifications Required
AWS Certified Developer Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate preferred plus any Java or SQL certification
