As a Senior Java Full Stack Developer, you will make an impact by designing, building, and delivering scalable full stack applications leveraging Java, Python, and modern frameworks. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders including business analysts, QA teams, and client partners to deliver high-quality solutions.

In this role, you will:
- Design and develop scalable, high-quality applications using Java (Spring Boot), Python, and Django.
- Translate business and technical requirements into high-level and detailed technical designs.
- Build and maintain microservices-based architectures and integrate front-end technologies where applicable.
- Lead and execute unit testing, support UAT, and ensure high-quality deliverables across releases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues within SLAs, including root cause analysis and enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support releases, production validation, and deployment activities.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship, including onboarding teams to AI platforms and enabling integration frameworks.
What you need to have to be considered:
- Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
- Proven experience with Python and Django frameworks.
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Ability to independently design and architect robust application solutions.
- Experience with data modeling, analysis, and problem-solving in complex environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients and stakeholders.
These will help you stand out:
- Experience with Angular (version 10 or higher preferred).
- Exposure to AI platforms, agentic architecture, or intelligent systems.
- Experience onboarding teams or enabling platform adoption.
- Ability to drive innovation and recommend modern engineering practices.
- Strong collaboration and mentoring skills in agile environments.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $68,000 – $120,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
