GCP Support & Service Delivery Lead
About the role
As a GCP Support & Service Delivery Lead, you will make an impact by overseeing advanced technical support and service delivery for enterprise systems built on Python3 and GCP, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance for global transportation and logistics clients. You will be a valued member of the Technology Support team and work collaboratively with support, engineering, development, and infrastructure teams.
In this role, you will:
• Lead end-to-end technical support operations for complex Python3 and GCP-based applications, ensuring rapid incident resolution and minimal disruption to mission-critical business services.
• Oversee service delivery governance across GCP DevOps, GCP Cloud, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery environments, maintaining adherence to enterprise standards and customer commitments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in monitoring, alerting, and automation within GCP DevOps pipelines to reduce manual effort and accelerate safe software releases.
• Manage escalation processes for critical service outages, organizing technical war rooms and ensuring transparent updates to stakeholders until recovery is achieved.
• Guide configuration and administration of GCP Cloud SQL and BigQuery solutions to safeguard data integrity, improve query performance, and support analytics-enabled decision making.
Work model

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Parsippany, NJ. What you need to have to be considered
• 10+ years of experience working with Python3
• 10+ years of experience across GCP, including GCP DevOps, GCP Cloud, Cloud SQL, and BigQuery
• Proven track record leading technical support and service delivery for enterprise-scale applications
• Strong background in root cause analysis and incident/problem management for production systems
• Experience mentoring support professionals on advanced troubleshooting and cloud-native tools
These will help you stand out
• Experience working with transportation and logistics business teams
• Background in security, compliance, and data privacy practices within cloud environments
• Experience building observability solutions (logging, metrics, dashboards) for cloud-native services

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $156,000- $185,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
