MDM Service Lead/ Architect
About the Role
As an MDM Service Lead, you will make an impact by leading the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) solutions across the organization. You will be a valued member of the Data & AI team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, governance councils, and IT teams to ensure high-quality, consistent, and trusted master data that underpins strategic business decisions.
In This Role, You Will:
- Architect and implement scalable MDM solutions aligned with enterprise data strategy, including master data models, survivorship rules, match/merge logic, and hierarchy management across key domains such as Customer, Vendor, Material, and Finance.
- Lead data governance by defining frameworks, data quality rules, and stewardship processes, while acting as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and key liaison between business units, governance councils, and IT.
- Drive data quality improvement initiatives, including data cleansing, enrichment, and validation projects, and maintain documentation and metadata such as data definitions, lineage, and quality rules.
- Design and develop integrations — both real-time and batch — with source and consuming systems using Reltio APIs, connectors, and ETL tooling, ensuring seamless data flows across the enterprise ecosystem.
- Engage and align stakeholders by understanding key customer and partner expectations, communicating progress, resolving impediments, and coaching/mentoring junior team members to build organizational MDM capability.
Work Model
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position.
What You Need to Have to Be Considered
- Extensive expertise in MDM platforms, specifically Informatica MDM, IDMC, and/or Reltio, including hands-on solution design and implementation experience.
- Strong proficiency in data modeling — entity-relationship modeling, hierarchy management, and reference data — combined with a solid command of SQL, NoSQL, and relational database technologies.
- Strong experience in data integration, including ETL tools such as Informatica PowerCenter or Talend, API-based integrations, and data pipeline design and management.
- Good knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) as they relate to cloud-based MDM architectures and deployments.
- Good knowledge of data quality tools such as Informatica Data Quality or Trillium, as well as the ability to define and enforce data quality rules and stewardship processes at an enterprise level.
These Will Help You Stand Out
- Domain expertise across master data domains such as Customer, Product, Supplier, and/or Employee, including in-depth business understanding of how these domains interact across the enterprise.
- Business process knowledge covering ERP, CRM, and supply chain processes that rely on and generate master data, enabling you to bridge the gap between IT and business effectively.
- Awareness of regulatory compliance requirements relevant to data management, including GDPR, HIPAA, or SOX, and the ability to design MDM solutions that adhere to these frameworks.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage senior stakeholders, facilitate governance forums, and translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
