GCP DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Terraform, and Kubernetes to support validation and onboarding of solutions to the Google Cloud Marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform technical validation and QA testing for solutions (VMs, containers/Kubernetes, SaaS) submitted to Google Cloud Marketplace
  • Validate deployments using Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC) ensuring reliability and scalability
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across deployment, integration, and functionality
  • Conduct Kubernetes (GKE) validation, including debugging container and configuration issues
  • Test and validate REST API integrations, including Procurement and Entitlement APIs for SaaS solutions
  • Ensure compliance with Google Cloud security, billing, and entitlement requirements
  • Perform cost analysis and infrastructure audits, including resource labeling and architecture review
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners throughout the validation lifecycle
  • Document findings, create test plans, reports, and SOPs
  • Support governance of Private Marketplace offerings and deployment models
  • Develop basic automation using Python or scripting tools

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Cloud/DevOps or similar role
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
    • Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
    • Kubernetes (GKE preferred)
    • Virtual Machines (Compute Engine)
  • Experience with Docker and containerization technologies
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting cloud deployments and integrations
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs
  • Understanding of cloud security, billing, and compliance models

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

Compensation: we are offering an annual salary between $56,650-103,000
