Job Summary

Sr Consultant role focusing on SAP PP solutions for manufacturing clients delivering robust configuration and support across master data management batch management shop floor execution and process order execution. Role requires strong domain exposure in production scheduling and planning along with manufacturing capacity planning working in a hybrid model during day shifts to provide business centric outcomes and continuous process improvements.

Technical Skills and Responsibilities

  • SAP Managed Services
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather detailed requirements for SAP PP processes and translate them into efficient and sustainable system solutions that enhance manufacturing operations efficiency and reliability
  • Configure SAP PP master data objects including materials work centers routings and production versions to ensure accurate and consistent planning and execution across multiple manufacturing plants.
  • Design and implement SAP PP batch management scenarios that enable full batch traceability optimize material usage and support compliance with industry specific quality and regulatory needs.
  • Manage end to end shop floor execution in SAP PP including confirmation processes backflushing and variance analysis to improve visibility of production progress and resource consumption.
  • Configure and support process order execution in SAP PP PI by setting up phases resources and recipes that align with real world production practices and improve throughput.
  • Analyze current production scheduling practices and optimize SAP PP planning strategies lot sizing and scheduling profiles to reduce lead times improve service levels and minimize production bottlenecks.
  • Implement and fine tune capacity planning in SAP PP by maintaining work center capacities shift definitions and finite scheduling parameters ensuring realistic and executable production plans.
  • Coordinate integration of SAP PP with related modules such as MM SD QM and CO to enable seamless end to end manufacturing and supply chain processes without data inconsistencies.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive functional specifications test scripts and configuration documents that support traceability knowledge sharing and future enhancements.
  • Conduct system testing user acceptance testing and defect resolution activities to ensure stable and reliable SAP PP processes before deployment to productive environments.

  • Deliver user training sessions and create clear training materials to build strong user adoption and enable operational teams to leverage SAP PP functionality effectively in daily work.

    Monitor production system performance in SAP PP analyze recurring incidents and implement continuous improvement changes that reduce manual efforts and system errors for manufacturing users.

    Collaborate with cross functional teams in a hybrid work environment using structured communication and documentation practices to ensure timely delivery of enhancements and support activities.

    Qualifications

  • Possess substantial experience in SAP PP master data configuration with proven ability to design scalable structures that support complex manufacturing and planning requirements.

  • Demonstrate hands on expertise in SAP PP batch management including batch determination strategies stock segregation and traceability in discrete and process manufacturing environments.
  • Bring strong practical knowledge of SAP PP shop floor execution including order confirmations time ticket entry and deviation handling to support efficient plant operations.
  • Apply advanced skills in SAP PP process order execution and SAP PP PI including recipes phases and process instructions aligned with manufacturing best practices.
  • Offer solid domain experience in production scheduling and planning with a focus on balancing demand supply and capacity to deliver reliable production plans.
  • Utilize experience in manufacturing capacity planning to configure realistic capacities shifts and scheduling parameters that support achievable production targets.

  • Communicate effectively with technical and functional teams as well as business users to ensure shared understanding of requirements solution designs and testing outcomes.

    Certifications Required

    SAP Certified Application Associate in Production Planning and Manufacturing or equivalent SAP PP certification preferred.
