Senior Business Analyst – Risk Management

Location: Toronto, Canada (Hybrid)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support risk management initiatives within our banking/financial services engagement. The ideal candidate brings strong domain expertise in risk, governance, and compliance platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business/functional requirements for Risk Management programs
  • Work closely with stakeholders to translate risk and compliance needs into actionable specifications
  • Support eGRC platform implementation, configuration, and enhancement initiatives
  • Liaise with onshore business/technology teams and offshore delivery teams
  • Prepare process flows, gap analyses, and requirement traceability documentation
  • Support UAT, defect triage, and production rollout activities

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of Business Analysis experience, with significant exposure to Risk Management domains
  • Hands-on knowledge of eGRC tools (e.g., ServiceNow GRC, RSA Archer, MetricStream, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of Financial Risk (credit, market, operational, or enterprise risk) concepts
  • Prior experience in Banking/Financial Services industry
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (onshore client-facing role)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Nice to Have

  • Experience with regulatory/compliance frameworks (OSFI, Basel, SOX, etc.)
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery models

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams and priorities
  • Excellent communication across business and technology stakeholders
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder influencing skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in both leadership and hands-on analytical roles

Compensation

The annual salary for this position is CAD 109,000 – 128,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to applicable plan terms.
