Azure DevOps Architect
About the role
As an Azure DevOps Architect, you will make an impact by designing and governing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions that accelerate enterprise modernization and digital transformation. You will be a valued member of the Cloud Engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, developers, platform engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders to drive DevOps and DevSecOps excellence across the organization.
In this role, you will:
· Design, implement, and support enterprise-scale Azure cloud architectures leveraging core Azure services and best practices.
· Configure and manage Azure Application Gateway, including routing, SSL termination, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and traffic management capabilities.
· Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Container Instances (ACI), Docker, and Azure Container Registry (ACR).
· Build and integrate cloud-native solutions utilizing Azure Logic Apps, API Management, Service Bus, and Event Grid.
· Develop reusable Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks using Terraform and automate environment provisioning and deployments.
· Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and related automation platforms.
· Drive DevSecOps adoption by integrating security, compliance, governance, and automation throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
· Establish monitoring, observability, and operational excellence practices using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, KQL, and Application Insights.

What you need to have to be considered
· Extensive experience designing and implementing Azure cloud architectures, including multi-region, multi-tenant, hybrid-cloud, and enterprise-scale environments.
· Strong hands-on experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
· Deep expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
· Proficiency in automation and scripting using PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
· Strong knowledge of DevSecOps and Azure security services, including SAST/SCA tools, container security scanning, RBAC, Managed Identities, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Policy.
· Experience managing Kubernetes platforms and containerized applications, including AKS administration, Docker, GitOps workflows, autoscaling, and production support.
· Expertise in monitoring and observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, KQL, and Application Insights.
· Experience designing high availability and disaster recovery architectures, including geo-replication, multi-region failover, and zone-redundant solutions.
These will help you stand out
· Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Azure Administrator Associate.
· Experience leading enterprise cloud transformation and modernization initiatives.
· Knowledge of FinOps practices, including cloud cost optimization, rightsizing, savings plans, and governance frameworks.
· Experience implementing platform engineering and self-service cloud capabilities.
· Strong stakeholder management, consulting, and technical leadership skills.
· Experience mentoring engineering teams and establishing cloud architecture standards and best practices.

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until August 29, 2025.
The annual salary for this position is between $94,500- $108,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
