Job Summary

This hybrid role for a Technical Lead focuses on advanced SAP BTP development including workflow object oriented programming web services and WebDynpro for Java to support research and development and new product development initiatives. The role involves guiding complex solution design ensuring robust core BTP implementations and collaborating with cross functional technical teams during day shifts without travel requirements while driving innovation and value for business and society.


Responsibilities

  • Lead end to end design and development of complex SAP BTP solutions that enable research and development and new product development activities while ensuring robustness and scalability across core business processes.
  • Drive implementation of SAP BTP components that streamline approval cycles and R and D governance while reducing manual effort and improving compliance to organizational standards.
  • Execute object oriented BTP development tasks that structure code into reusable components and design patterns supporting long term maintainability and efficient enhancement of enterprise solutions.
  • Develop and optimizeBTP web services that integrate SAP systems with external platforms and internal applications to enable seamless data exchange and collaborative innovation across technical teams.
  • Build and enhance SAP WebDynpro for Java applications that provide intuitive user interfaces and efficient transaction handling for engineering and product development stakeholders in a hybrid work model.
  • Perform deep core BTP programming activities including performance tuning debugging and code optimization to achieve stable reliable and high performing solutions in day shift operations.
  • Coordinate with product development and R and D partners to translate technical requirements into detailed SAP designs ensuring that solutions directly support experimentation prototyping and new product launches.
  • Review and refine technical specifications and development standards so project teams can follow consistent coding practices improving code quality traceability and long term sustainability of SAP landscapes.
  • Conduct comprehensive unit testing integration testing and defect resolution activities that validate all ABAP workflow web services and WebDynpro components prior to deployment to production environments.
  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to fellow developers and project members by sharing best practices and reusable assets that accelerate delivery and uplift overall technical capabilities of the organization.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants and business analysts to analyze process gaps and define configuration and development changes that enhance innovation efficiency and product development cycle times.
  • Manage incident analysis and root cause resolution for SAP ABAP and related components ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing research and development operations and continuously improving system reliability.
  • Document solutions design decisions and technical configurations in clear and structured formats ensuring knowledge continuity and easy onboarding for future team members supporting new product initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in SAP ABAP workflow including design configuration and customization that supports complex approval chains and structured governance in technology focused environments.
  • Apply advanced expertise in ABAP object oriented programming to create modular and reusable classes and methods tailored to research and development and new technology product scenarios.
  • Show hands on experience in ABAP web services design and consumption enabling integration with external engineering tools and enterprise platforms in secure and reliable ways.
  • Utilize practical knowledge of SAP WebDynpro for Java to create and maintain user interfaces that are responsive user friendly and aligned with modern usability expectations for technical stakeholders.
  • Exhibit solid experience in core ABAP including classical reporting smart forms and data dictionary objects supporting stable transactional processing in hybrid working conditions.
  • Bring domain experience in research and development technology and new product development tech to align technical SAP solutions with experimentation roadmaps and innovation strategies.


Certifications Required

SAP Certified Development Specialist BTP for SAP NetWeaver or equivalent SAP BTP development certification preferred.
