Job Summary
This hybrid role supports retail and commercial banking operations by applying strong MS Excel skills to manage data reports and performance metrics. The Specialist helps optimize processes in asset and wealth related services while collaborating with cross functional teams during day shifts. The role focuses on accuracy client centric outcomes and continuous improvement for a global banking enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Support daily retail and commercial banking operations by maintaining accurate data sets in spreadsheets to ensure timely and reliable service delivery to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Prepare update and validate recurring reports using spreadsheet formulas and functions to provide clear visibility into key performance indicators for banking operations.
- Analyze transaction data for retail and commercial products to identify patterns discrepancies and opportunities for operational process enhancement.
- Collaborate with operations and product teams in a hybrid work model to clarify data requirements and ensure consistent interpretation of banking metrics.
- Document standard operating procedures for reporting and analysis tasks to promote consistency transparency and knowledge sharing across the operations team.
- Monitor data quality for customer accounts and product portfolios by running checks and reconciliations helping to reduce errors and operational risk.
- Assist in the creation of dashboards and summary views in spreadsheets that highlight trends in asset management operations and retail banking performance.
- Support incident and issue resolution activities by extracting relevant data tracing root causes and documenting findings for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with technology and operations partners to test small process enhancements and track their impact on efficiency accuracy and client satisfaction.
- Contribute to regulatory and compliance reporting by organizing data sets and validating figures to help meet internal control and audit expectations.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives by suggesting automation opportunities using spreadsheet capabilities and basic macros where appropriate.
- Engage with asset and wealth management stakeholders to understand operational workflows and translate them into structured reports that support informed decision making.
- Maintain clear records of activities assumptions and calculations to support audit readiness and strengthen trust in operational reporting outputs.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in spreadsheet tools including formulas pivot tables and charts to support data driven decisions in retail and commercial banking operations.
- Apply basic knowledge of banking products such as deposits loans and cash management services to interpret operational data in a meaningful context.
- Utilize any exposure to asset management operations to understand portfolio data transaction flows and client reporting needs within investment related services.
- Leverage familiarity with asset and wealth management concepts to support the preparation of performance summaries fee calculations and client statements when required.
- Exhibit effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross functional teams in a hybrid model while ensuring clarity on data definitions and reporting timelines.
- Demonstrate a learning mindset by seeking guidance from senior colleagues adopting best practices in operations and expanding domain knowledge in banking and investments.
- Show strong attention to detail and time management capabilities to manage multiple reporting tasks during day shifts while meeting strict timelines and quality standards.
