About the role
As a QA Automation Engineer – Playwright you will make an impact by ensuring the quality, reliability, and timely release of applications through robust test strategies and automation frameworks. You will be a valued member of the QA team and collaborate closely with Product Owners, developers, and key stakeholders to support high quality software delivery.

In this role, you will:
• Own and support release related testing activities to ensure smooth deployments
• Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC
• Develop, debug, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright
• Design and execute manual test scenarios and test cases as needed
• Define test strategies, create test plans, and estimate overall testing effort

Work model: Onsite

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a Cognizant or client office in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

What you need to have to be considered
• 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, working within Agile environments
• Strong expertise in writing, enhancing, and executing automated test scripts using Playwright
• Hands on experience with TypeScript
• Proven experience designing and executing manual test cases and test scenarios
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and TestNG, and build tools like Maven
• Working knowledge of version control tools such as GitHub
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams

• Ability to balance automation and manual testing effectively
• Strong analytical and debugging skills
• Experience contributing to test strategy definition and quality best practices
