Location - Hybrid @ Toronto
Core Skills (Must Have)
- Strong Data Warehousing & EDW concepts
- Fact & Dimension modeling
- Star / Snowflake schemas
- Data marts and reporting layers
- Hands-on EDW testing experience
- Source → Staging → Integration → Presentation layer validation
- Full load vs Incremental / Delta load testing
- SCD validation expertise
- SCD Type 1, Type 2 (history, effective dates, current flag)
- Late Arriving Dimensions, Out-of-sequence data
- Advanced SQL skills
- Complex joins, subqueries, window functions
- Data reconciliation & cross-layer balancing
- Duplicate, null, referential integrity checks
Testing Capabilities
- Data Validation & Reconciliation
- Business rule & transformation logic validation
- Row count, aggregation, threshold & variance checks
- CDC / incremental data testing
- Regression & UAT support
- Defect analysis, triage, and RCA
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $100-115Kdepending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
